After 4 1/2 years somebody at Walgreens finally said something! Every night after my shift I go to Walgreens and buy 2 cans of Progresso Soup and a candy bar and a Coke. The girl said "You must really like soup!" It is strange because I didn't hear about Asperger's until the last 2 years and now I see all these traits that were "just me" before.

I love, love, love WP! I love, love, love Autism. At 38 for the first time I feel OK, thank God!

Welcome to WP. It can be such a relief when you finally figure it out.

Like you, I'm finally happy with a diagnosis. It helps me to focus on what areas to improve so that other people do respond to me socially more. I'm happy for you!

I eat soup every day. Usually the same one every day and then I change to a different one for a while.

I've gotten that before. One time I got obsessed with these breadsticks at a shop. All my mother had to do was call them and they asked, "the ususal?" And at the grocery store we buy so much of this one item because of me they were always going out of stock, so they now keep more in stock and they found it funny.

Reminds me of at my school cafeteria, because I order pizza so often that often I don't even need to ask for it anymore.

Welcome to WP! :D

Yeah, I tend to go to the same restaurant, the same night of the week- (because it´s convenient, after work)- they guide me to my usual table, and then they tell me my order, as they know it already. Last time, the guy had my wine ready even before I even sat down.

Funny how it works, huh? It is odd that it took so long for someone to say something, but funny that they said it. I used to be obsessed with Subway back when I was on a diet/exercise kick a few years ago. The girls at the Subway near my house started calling me Jared, because it was the same year that Jared became super well-known.

People who know me now don't understand my fixation on Chinese food. I could eat it for every meal if it wouldn't make me fatter and more unhealthy. I crave sweets so Chinese food hits the mark perfectly. It's a meal and it's sweet. It's perfect for me. I eat it many times each week and people are still surprised that I haven't TURNED Chinese. :D
