I have ran into a couple of blogs that assert that austistics are very attractive people. I find that to be true because I have always felt that I was more attractive than my NT peers. I see others' avatars on here, and I see that boardies on here are attractive.

TBH, I kind of doubt that... I don't think there's a fair way to figure out though.
My Aspie boyfriend is aesthetically more pleasing than my NT ex-boyfriend, but I never really believed anyone had a big impact on how they looked.

I wish... I'm actually quite repellent.

Generally we look more youthful because we use our facial muscles less.

The whole point of wearing make-up, is to trick observers into thinking you are more youthful than you are.

If youthfulness correlates with attractiveness, then maybe there is something to it.

As in physically attractive, or do you mean that there is "something about them that is different"?

I have often gotten the feeling that people I meet can immediately tell I'm different, almost that there is something otherworldly. I don't know if that translates to attraction per se, though.

I have a theory that my hyperactivity burns a lot of calories and helps me stay nice and lean. Maybe playing sports would be even better though, so I have no idea how true my theory is.

It depends Im guessing. I thought autistics were normally less attractive because we dont put much effort into our apperances. All the aspies I've known were not attractive. From average to quite unattractive.

I look good but if I hadn't had surgery and didn't make it my life purpose to look good I would just look average.

It depends on what you consider to be attractive in people.
I find aspies more attractive in terms of personality, while NTs tend to be attractive in terms of appearance.
But again, it's a generalization and can sometimes apply both ways.
To be honest, it took me quite a while to figure out how to make myself more attractive. I look back at my old pictures and am ashamed of my appearance.

What kind of surgery? And what else do you do to look good?

I never noticed a correlation; if anything, aspies tend to look uglier. No offense, it's probably just because most of us don't make an effort to look better. I do now, because I realized that people considering me attractive has actually contributed to the little success I've had in social situations.

I've seen some unattractive aspies around.

I don't think Aspies are better looking than NTs, but Asperger's doesn't cause physical abnormalities, so that's a plus!

I have noticed in Aspies I know that their facial muscles tend to be quite lax, and this can make them appear quite odd. Since Aspies can fail to have a socially appropriate look on their face (even when not directly involved in social interaction) this could make them appear abnormal.

I don't think I have this problem myself though.

I sincerely doubt it. The Aspies I have known were not what I would consider to be attractive (though you are talking to an asexual/as far as I know about myself). If you mean youthful and natural in appearance, I would guess in many cases yes :) . But ascetically pleasing to the eye, that depends who you are talking to and whom is in question. (sorry my grammar and spellings is terrible). I cannot tell myself if I am attractive, but I would guess I am repulsive !
