I was doing some fence repair and I was working on restringing the bottom wire of a three wire electric fence. Since the bottom wire wasn't connected to anything yet, I had left the rest of the fence live. I have been shocked countless times before by electric fences and it has never been anything dangerous, including with that energizer (which is our most powerful one so far and our first plug in unit as opposed to solar). I didn't realize that there was a piece of wire from the middle line sticking out towards me and I was focused on tying the bottom wire and not really paying attention to where my head was in relation to the fence. My right temple ended up coming into contact with that wire while I was grounded by my hands touching a t post. I felt a sharp pain, heard a crack, and everything went black. I came to on my back in the grass with my wife asking if I was ok. It took my a moment to get my bearings and answer her.
She had apparently heard me make a weird noise and seen me fall. So she was apparently walking towards me with her phone in hand ready to call 911 and had asked me multiple times if I was ok. When I said , "yeah" she went back to what she was doing.
It took me a while to sit and the first time was too soon so I lay there some more before stumbling over to where she was and sitting down. My speech was slow and garbled and I had trouble finding the right words. My head also hurt and I felt out of it. After sitting for a bit, I stumbled inside and lay down for a while.
