Ø is just a letter used for words, like all the other letters. It's pronounced like the 'u' in 'sun', and is used in words like øye (eye), øy (island), øl (beer), bjørn (bear) and rømling (fugitive).

Glad I could help you find out about it! None of you need be afraid of asking me if you wonder about stuff like that.
For the record, æ can have two pronunciations; like the 'a' in 'glad' or the 'e' in Ben. One example of each: ærlig (honest) and væske (liquid; noun), not to be confused with veske which is pronounced the same but means purse (women's accessory).
Å is pronounced like the 'au' in sauce. Examples of the letter in a word is ål (eel) and tå (toe).
Sorry for all the language stuff, I hope it wasn't annoying.

I can't come up with anything on 'disw' or 'disx'. Sorry if there is a word I've forgotten.
