if you cross out all the digets that add up to a number divisible by three and there's nothing left, it's divisible by three. example: 1178121 the 117 adds up to 9 so can be crossed out, 8112 the 81 adds up to 9 so can be crossed out, 12 adds up to 3 so can be crossed out. on the other hand, 1178123 the 117 adds up to 9 so can be crossed out, 8112 the 81 adds up to 9 so can be crossed out, but 23 adds up to five and can't be devided by three so the whole number can't.

if the last diget of a number is seven it MUST be divisible by three, or it is a prime number. NO exceptions.

a similar rule goes with numbers ending with a one: it is divisible by three except when two numbers ending with the digit one multiplied by each other get that number. otherwise it's a prime number.

and now the easy ones: even numbers (except two) and numbers ending with five aren't prime numbers.

all non-prime numbers are divisible by at least one prime number under their square root.
