I met him on the first day of high school. He never went again.
He was diagnosed with AS two years before I met him and four years before I was. When he explained it to me I thought it sounded like what I had. I told a psychiatrist, but he thought I had PTSD. Eventually I was diagnosed. Personally I have never met a psychiatrist who A) know's what they're talking about, and B) Listens to me.

Just out of curiosity, why a picture of the moon landing.

That's my second ever avatar, and I don't think I'll ever change it.
My first one was this : , I really loved that Happy little Spacedude!
When I joined WP, It was on my first computer and I was complete internet noob.
I learnt everything I know right here and still don't really use it for much except plant research, the weather and checking my library account for overdue books.
Figuring out to upload an avatar, and then images, was a revelation to me!

I chose the man on the moon because ;
a) It's synchronous with the little Spacedude and
b) I identify with the undertone of isolation and distance, solitude and anonimity,
that it represents.

and c) It's just a freaking cool picture!
