finally moving out of college house tomorrow.

Mom worked me to death yesterday. God bless her! She was really disappointed when I told her I just couldn't keep going, after 13 hours packing & moving. She wanted to get EVERYTHING packed yesterday. How did I ever accumulate so much STUFF?? And where am I going to put it all??

Thanks, Tally. Yes, it will. I will even survive it. Yesterday packing up the kitchen took so long ... drove home how very tiny the new one is. Here I have 11 upper cabinets, 7 lower cabinets, 13 drawers, and a full-height pantry (or something like that count). The new place has one lower cabinet, one drawer, a few small shelves, and a smaller pantry. I'm promised room in the garage, once landlady & I get the garage organized. Meanwhile I'm storing pots & pans in the bathroom! I've gotten rid of clothes, furniture, books, all kinds of things, but I'm not giving up my 16-quart canner or my gargantuan dutch oven or my electric pressure cooker or my KitchenAid stand mixer! I mean, I ditched some tupperware, but that's about it from the kitchen. Let me tell you, having downsized and having upsized, downsizing is way, way, way harder.

I have been up early for the second day in a row.

Jeez. Yesterday I activated 'Windows Media Center' on my laptop and man, that was one BIG mistake. The program takes up 40-70% of my processors' usage and makes the ventilation device of my laptop go 'vacuum cleaning'-noise ALL THE TIME.

Man, I'm screwed.... for I cannot undo/deactivate it. Nothing but trouble the lousy laptop brought. Bugger.

^ Ouch. I don't use Windows Media Center so can offer no advice. I assume a system rollback wouldn't work?
