I want to get a job but anxiety, sensory issues (hate traffic noise)and now two dogs that live with each of my neighbors under my mother's apartment(one each.) now prevent me from doing so. The sound of dog barking startles me and since they are surrounded by a wooden fence it makes it even louder!

Ah, yeah, I also have problems with sensory issues, and am startled badly by dogs barking (despite the fact that I have one. It's rather ironic when my autism service dog causes me sensory issues :lol: ). My next-door neighbors have three terriers, and think the best way to get them to be quiet is to yell at them while they ignore it. I try to avoid taking my dog out in the backyard when those dogs are out.

They can be trained to do a variety of things. Mine mostly does pressure tasks to help me calm down and will interrupt me if I start scratching myself, which I do as a stim sometimes. I'm also working on teaching him to stop at crosswalks because I have a tendency to drift off while I'm walking and not remember to check for cars.
