[The Chinese language seems to lack a future perfect tense as the cyclical translation demonstrates.]

[I wonder why I find it so difficult to learn East Asian languages despite heritage and everything. This could be a worthy sub-interest for linguistics.]

Chinese lacks a lot of grammatical structures and tenses. Also, there are many complex characters, and the only way to learn them is by rote memorization.

The top phrase is in simplified Chinese, and the bottom is in traditional Chinese.

Err, euh, ermm, hooray for rote! :o Trying to learn it might help with being aware of intonation if what I heard about four tones applies to all the major dialects.

[Now, then, Latin 2, let us subtract two priority classes to allow languages of other families some room...]

ADDITION:
Hmm, a syllabic writing system. That sounds like a good and unique choice for the language of the third culture in my conworld.

Your conworld sounds interesting. I'd like to learn more about it.

I really should continue publishing the framework of the conworld on the blog.. In a figurative nutshell, I chose three cultural seeds based on the three grammar systems (agglutinative, inflected, and isolating). The one I am currently developing, Ladhsoer, is the agglutinative language and proto-Ladhsoerian uses an alphabet. So far, I have only developed grammar and morphology rules for proto-Ladhsoerian, but after the madness that is undergraduate application ends, I will probably develop the art, music, history, technology, philosophies, religions (where there is only true god named Kevinjh with plenty of others following idols), and the vocabulary. Rest assured that there will be a syllabic language (where people would spell a word like catapult as ca-ta-pu(lt) instead of c-a-t-a-p-u-l-t).

The complex and challenging is generally what appeals to me. I wonder if it has....

Well, yes. I like complex things too. It's just that my schedule is too crammed with activities that I don't have big chunks of time for anything anymore. I'm so busy, I don't even have time to tell you how busy I am. Oh wait...

Anyways, another special interest:
dolphins
