Granted. You have to repeat today, day after day, with no variations, as its always the same day.

I wish I could fly on my own power but remain human.

Granted. You can fly but only 1" from the ground.

I wish I could discover a cure for cancer.

Granted. That cure is geocide, and it affects all non-vacuum-resistant life (and even those, in the long run).

I wish for water (without drowning/poisoning).

Granted. Several tons of water fall on your head crushing your entire body.

I wish I had superhero powers which are moving things with thoughts and emitting shockwaves from my hands if I want to, like the force in Star Wars - this wish includes the ability to control those powers!

Granted. You had them - past tense. You don't anymore.

I wish that I would now, currently, and for all time in the future, have powers like Sylvastor described.

Granted. But you are also eternally imprisoned and prevented from using them, just as in Superman.

I wish all my books would read themselves to me whenever I wanted them to (but only then).

It's blowing all the snow into the house instead, covering all the contents in a white blanket.
