No preference. I gave up on Star Trek movies after watching the first one.

Oh, you had me worried there for a minute.

The second and fourth Star Trek movies are the best. The first and fifth are the not great ones.

Prf. Xavier or Capt. Picard?

I'm not sure who either of those are. Blackberry jelly or strawberry jelly?

Prf. Xavier is from the X-Men comics/movies, and Capt. Picard is from Star Trek The Next Generation [Datab4's character Guinan is also from Next Gen], and in the older X-Men movies, Prf. X is played by Patrick Stewart, who also plays Picard.

Space (does anti-matter exist outside of the theoreticians' projections?)

Saturn or Venus?

Venus, as it is quasi-habitable [on the upper reaches of the atmosphere] with present-day tech. anywhere near Saturn would fry an astronaut with lethal radiation.

Mars (looks quite nice in the photographs, and is named after a chocolate bar.... )

Latvia or Belarus?

the former sounds more civilized to me.

country, or city?

City (however horrible many of them are, I need my public transport and supermarkets)

Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox?

my puter is too old and slow to run either of them. IE at least runs on my puter.

would you rather work for the civil service, or a corporation?

Bloody Hell, it was only yesterday that I was cursing a Windows IE 11 update (which took almost 40 minutes) on the grounds that no-one used IE any more! Interesting to get an alternative perspective.

Civil Service (interesting terminology though, as until fairly recently in the UK it was commonplace to use the word 'Corporation' to refer to the Local Government authority ('The Corporation'), hence more in common with the Civil Service than a modern private corporation/company.

Janet Yellen or Ben Bernanke?

I cannot decide between the two, though Bernanke had the advantage of being a student of the great depression.

automobiles- Jaguar, or Bentley?

Jaguar. Bentley/Rolls just OTT.

BMW or Mercedes?

BMW. I like cars with straight six engines.

Chevrolet or Ford?
