Haha... I stumbled upon this while searching for bagpipes and tuba versions of Claire De Lune by Debussy.

^ I used to make my own versions of these with friends. You just take a foreign translation of something (for example, Animaniacs theme song in Japanese or German) and then listen to the song for "hidden" words in English. The results are often hilarious. : )

That was the worst musical disaster since Miley Cyrus covered the Nirvana song, Smells Like Teen Spirit

Not really a disaster, per se, but it's funny and I feel it belongs here. :D

http://youtu.be/BPPtrqvHGEg

I thought I was good with technology, but I can never seem to get YouTube embeds to work right on here. What's your secret?

I've tried it with and without the YouTube forum tags,

I've tried the provided share link and the URL at the top, (they're different)

I notice when I go to YouTube personally, my address for a video always says https:// now. And I suspect that might have something to do with the problem, and have looked for a way to use the non-SSL version of the video... to no avail. I can't get just the regular http://.

Anyone know about this?

I had that problem till someone explained it to me in another thread. You have to copy & paste the full site address into the YouTube quote box(or you could type the quote part) & then you have to delete the S after the http so your vid link will look like this but without the spaces~ [ youtube] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPPtrqvH ... e=youtu.be [ /youtube]

THANK YOU! :D For me, that someone is now you, lol.

It never occurred to me that I could delete the S in the actual post and have it work in the forums; I always thought if I couldn't delete it at YouTube and have the video display properly there, then it wasn't going to work here. So simple, but genius! 8)

Granted, that Smells Like Teen Spirit was a disastrous cover,
but it takes a musical genius to make it into a truly innovative atrocity :P :

You win a position as backup singer on Weird Al's next tour.

Good luck with that. You'll be hoarse by the end of the night.
I've seen him in concert. He covered what seemed like two whole albums worth of songs.

I like his more recent works where composes his melodies from scratch
to parody music styles, like "Stop Forwarding That Crap to Me", "Skipper Dan",
"Hardware Store", "CNR", "Ringtone", etc.
I mean, he's been writing original songs for a while now, but now they're good enough
to compare with his direct-song-parodies, ("White & Nerdy", "Amish Paradise", etc etc).
