I must be in a sick frame of mind tonight, all I can think is it would be quite amusing to have a crumbling heroine

I don't know if it's too late to put my good friend Irial in the action, but she's ready for it, and rather eager, if I do say so myself.
Name: Irial Faith
Gender: Female
Description: Nondescript dark blonde hair, cut to a bob below her ears, distinctive blue eyes with no pupils, wears brown apprentice uniform that is dirty and muddy
Age: Mid-late teens, doesn't really matter
Irial Faith was given to a fisherman's family as a baby. At the age of 8, she was apprenticed to a master swordsman, Muirachearteach Silversword. She is now adept at swordsmanship. Irial dreams of being a mighty warrior, and out of frustration, she runs away. Little does she know that the only reason Muirachearteach chose Irial is because of her inborn talent for prophesy, so that he could attempt to save the world from the things she could inadvertantly unleash. She is a prophet, who is completely unaware of her true nature. As she runs away from Silversword's tiny house on the banks of the Gimloin River, neither she nor her future companions(or enemies
)are aware that this little, inexperienced little speck of a girl could be the one thing that destroys Gandesha forever, or its only hope for salvation.

Apathy is not a vice, it is a relieving and downright enjoyable life-choice.
Race-Half Human/Half Cetra
Class- Black Mage
Background- Little is known about Sindri's personal past, but he has
done many dark deeds, and been involved with many evil doings.
He took up Black Magic when he was young, and has become very skilled
in using it.
He is reserved, calculating, intelligent, and sarcastic. He puts a low value on
life, and should never be underestimated. Skilled in close combat, but not so physically strong.
Attire- Black hooded cloak. Has a dark sword, named Bloodbane, which he keeps concealed, and has pale white skin, blond hair, and green eyes.
Sindri sounds interesting.

This is intriguing! Why did not Muirachearteach (lovely Gaelic name) tell Irial? Would it have risked bringing about the things he was trying to prevent?

Originally, my post was much longer, but I tried to submit and it turned out that I wasn't logged in
Muirachearteach is actually not to be trusted, he actually is a bit of a loner, quixotic ludite type. He has extensive training in swordsmanship, but considers it his duty to rid the world of any progressive movements which may endanger the balance of society in Gandesha.
Basically, he's just looking out after his own a$$.

I seriously doubt we'll have an Evangelion unit in this RP, but I'll try not to piss him off.

Name: Alaric Aelfwinson
Age: 953,057 Telllurian years. (but has moved through time so his actual birth did not take place that long ago from the human point of view; the age is based on his personal timeline). Elven side of his heritage brings immunity from old age, in the event of death in battle or from grief (Elven causes of death according to Tolkien - I am willing to stand corrected) the Time Lord side enables regeneration. Just thought I would clear some things up; for starters 953,057 years ago the ethnic groups constituting his human heritage did not exist!
Races: One third human (Welsh, Icelandic, Finnish, Pashtun, Maori - the Anglo Saxon surname/patronymic "son of the Elf-friend" was assumed after a visit to England in the ninth century AD before his arrival in Gandesha, Alaric was borrowed from the Goth who sacked Rome after its original possessor no longer needed it following his death) one third Eldar and one third Time Lord. (Long story).
Appearance: Dark hair concealed by a hood attached to a monastic robe.
Personality: Well-intentioned, but somewhat riven with inner conflict (well it was until recently; now it's less divided but also less balanced and whole).
Until recently a novice preparing to take the vows of the Scientian Order founded by Prior Knowledge, having previously been a squire in training to become a knight until a crisis of faith (he was not sure about the whole killing thing). He was only slightly less free of doubt during his novitiate, finding the finality of the vows once made gave him pause for thought. During his novitiate he has become fluent in almost every known language spoken by a sentient being in any place or time.
As a squire he had been drawn to a young female warrior named Eledhwen. The feeling was mutual. She was not (and is not) pleased with his new vocation: "Give this up and marry me or I will have to fight you!"
In a moment of intense devotional contemplation he inadvertently brought into existence a being of pure evil from one half of his psyche. Subsequently he decided to combine the violence of his first career choice with the celibacy of his second and join the Shaft'Ur, Gandesha's equivalent of Earth's the Poor Knights of Jesus Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, better known as the Knights Templar (yes I know they were supressed here - we (Earth) still have Hospitalers or Knights of Malta though). This was the point at which he entered Gandesha. His abbot and prior along with several prelates and pontifices followed, believing him to be a dangerous heretic.
The evil side of his character was initially without form and void. He managed to prevent it from assuming his own form (not wanting to confuse people or be wrongly blamed for things he was not directly responsible for - obviously he would be indirectly responsible) through prayer and contemplation, but IT managed to persuade Eledhwen (usually more sensible than this) to lend her body (for possession purposes) in return for offering to help persuade Alaric to leave the Shaft'Ur without returning to the Scientians. Now it's less "Marry me, etc." and more "Bow down and yield to my authority and thou shalt be my consort for EVERMORE. Shouldst thou refuse then thy death shall be sweetly lingering - or perhaps not so sweet."
Under the Shaft'Ur discipline he learnt not only fighting skills but acquired great powers. However his evil alter ego was able to open a portal into the Netherworld, draining much of his energy, also setting in motion a process altering the very substance of the universe - in a century or so Gandesha will be reduced to a point of singularity, drawing all the worlds roaring and whimpering down into the Void.
Having recuperated under the care of the Sisters of the Order of Benevolent Solicitude, he has returned to make haste to prevent this from happening. His evil shade has assumed a new body, leaving Eledhwen under the Adamantine Mountain on the Plain of Granite, using void energy to convert her life force into an infinitely renewable energy source, reordering the carbon from the diamonds of which the mountain is composed and silicon from the quartz together with abundant hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulphur and other elements from the atomosphere and the sea to make carbon-based and silicon based life-forms to see which will be the better minions once they have received souls borrowed from the increasing captives drawn to the light of the Adamantine Mountain.
