Because it's even, I'll be cruel and pick the one I like (which is she was miles away from anywhere).
=============================
"Where do you come from?" Koise asked
"Umatari" Kipo replied
"Umatari?!" Koise said in disbelief "But that's 100 kilometers away!!"
"It is 97 kilometers away, or 155.2 miles away."
"Wha-how did you know that? Did you count your steps or something?"
"No, I did not do that. I figured it out at my home."
"Oh, okay. Were you bored?"
"No, I was not. I just wanted to know."
"Oh, erm, okay." Koise said awkwardly. "So, lets get back to the path and get going."
The pair walked up to the top of the path and walked further along towards Tramata.
"So, why are you miles from home anyway?" Koise asked
"Because I do not like it there."
"Why not?"
"Because there was not a lot to do in Umatara."
"Hmm, I guess so. I mean, it's a shockingly small town, you have to drive to get everything."
"You do not have to drive to get everything. You have to drive to get a lot of things."
"Do you like correcting people?"
"I do not consider myself to like correcting people."
Koise thought she spoke pretty technically for a-erm... hmm, how old was she?
"How old are you?" Koise asked
"15 years, 9 months and 378 days."
"How do you know that?" Koise asked
"Because it is 8 days until my birthday."
"Oh, congratulations!"
Kipo took a bit to say "Thank you."
Then a rain drop fell from the sky and splatted onto a leaf nearby. Kipo let out a small and quiet yelp, as if she saw a spider and was arachnophobic. Then another droplet fell, this time onto a rock on the side of the path. And then more fell, until the air was dotted with small droplets of rain.
"Oh look, it's raining!" Koise said. He turned towards Kipo, who looked terribly frightened. "What's wrong?"
"I do not like water." Kipo said
"What?"
The rain fell a bit stronger, and at that Kipo was on the ground in her own fear and utter dislike for the rain. To her, it was extremely uncomfortable. She hated water and feared it, she just didn't like it at all. It felt uneasing and uncomfortable on her fur and skin, and the noise of falling rain disorientates her. And then the sky let loose, and Kipo was on the ground screaming.
Koise had no idea what to do. He looked around, and saw a hollow old tree-trunk in the ground. He grabbed Kipo by the arm, but she immediately pulled it back.
"Kipo!!" Koise yelled over the roar of the falling rain "There's a hollow tree trunk nearby which will keep you dry!! You're gonna have to go over to it!!"
Kipo didn't reply. She was curled up in a ball in fear.
"It's about ten metres away!!" Koise said "Do I have to drag you there?!"
Kipo remained silent. She appeared to not have even heard what Koise had said. Just as Koise was about to say something, she said
"Yes, you can drag me to the hollow tree trunk."
"It would help if you could get up and walk!!"
"Okay." Kipo said. She then got up a little bit, and sort of crouched on the ground. She was still terribly afraid, but she let Koise hold her hand as he led her to the tree trunk. She almost felt comforted by Koise, and soon they were inside the trunk.
"Great." Koise said. "Are you okay?"
"Mhmm..." Kipo said. She wanted to be silent and on her own, as she always did when something that made her unhappy happened. But she knew her and Koise could barely fit in the trunk with room to spare.
How long will it take for the rain to ease off?
A) 4 hours
B) 14 hours
C) 24 hours
P.S. Can someone delete Spy's spam in this thread please?

I was sad when I found that she left

That I could speak to her,
In a way
And sadness turned to comfort
We all go there
