Fnord has to be careful of posting with too much negativity and contentiousness.

I don't know if I've ever spoken directly to Fnord, but whenever I read his posts I always admire his intelligence, logic, and most of all his unwillingness to suffer fools. 8)

Exactly - that's the million dollar question.

Don't worry, you can post as much of it as you want. It's OK.

Have you googled either "Fnord" or "Stendec"?

Stendec is the last message transmitted by a plane which crashed under mysterious circumstances in the Andes in 1947 and which remained missing and undiscovered until 1998.

Regarding Fnord I'm always tempted to misquote Aldous Huxley: Fnord's in his flivver, all's right with the world.

He's seen much and unlike most of us on the spectrum, isn't naive.

Having not even suspected that I was on the spectrum until recently, I never knew that I was supposed to find challenges impossible to overcome. So I went ahead and met those challenges.

I really think that many people simply lose hope and give up trying once they find out that they are on the spectrum.

It's important to know what things are impossible lest you do them.

Hmm... I was thinking about this concept this morning and came to the conclusion that it's good that I was never diagnosed with Aspergers as a child. I would have just used it as an excuse to not accomplish anything in life instead of pushing myself to make it in life.

In terms of the topic, I love Fnord too, and admire his straight forward approach to things and logic. Like how he uses a few bullet points to bring some clarity to certain topics.

Even though I probably disagree with about 10% of what he posts, I have much respect for him.
