I've even got the sewing book at home that shows you how to make Adric's outfit.. :pig:

Jon Pertwee always had impressive outfits, not that I would wear something like that though.

Yes, K9 is still being voiced by John Leeson. In fact they've now gone off and made a whole new TV Show - called The Sarah Jane Adventures
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sarah_Jane_Adventures

They've gotten the highest viewing figures for the new(ish) channel that they're on. So they're gonna do a second series.

Whats the master regeneration deal .
That would be a major spoiler... Sadly he's missing the goatee but he's got a lot more presence (IMHO) than Julia Robert's brother (the US master).

They use a mix of live and CGI.

Was it his final season? The all burgendy outfit? Originally I didn't like that outfit but not long ago I was trying to get a friends mother to knit me the Burgendy scarf and I found a sit all about Tom Bakers scarf. There was the original then a second one then they started to become frayed so they were knit together. His scarf actually became longer. I remember the story on why it was so long was they didnt give insctructions on how long to make the scarf so ahe just used up all the yarn in the bag.

No, that's the Talons of Weng-Chiang. You're in the middle of a crowd of Whovians. You get that wrong, and they'll show you how a sonic screwdriver can do serious injury.

Yes, James Leeson.

At first, he is played by an old actor, Sir Derek Jacobi, who, in a fashion, has played the Master before. But he regenerates thanks to a blaster wound.

Yes. CGI can be dodgy at times, but at time spectacular.

Baka. You are wrong on so many counts:

1. The sixth Doctor was Colin Baker. The seventh Doctor was Sylvester McCoy

2. So far, only the actors to have played the first three Doctors have died. That is William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, and Jon Pertwee.

Ayiyiyiyiyi, and you call yourself a Doctor Who fan???

In the new series, why did the young Master look a lot like Tony Blair? Politcal commentary much?

No I mean after the doctor character "died" and was regenerated into an actor named McCoy. I even did a Politcal looking cartoon of disgruntled Trekkies seeing the announcement for our local fan clubnewsletter. We were called The Friends of the Time Lord.
Whats Peter Davidson doing in costume up there? Another "Two Doctors"?
I'm sorry to hera Jon Pertwee died. I used to have a copy of his book Moonboots and Dinnersuits. All the outfits he wore were his own clothing. And I think he owned the Whomobile.
What ever happened to U.N.I.T?
More so than flying its nice to see the Daleks turn at the waist. Davros around?

Yes I'm a fan but I'm out ofthe loop. Last time I was really following the Doctor was back in 1989. Without a lot of money to spend on DVDs and having no cable I'm frustrated. Some one mentioned Tom Bakers on the local PBS again but they don't show entire shows anymore. Just half hour chapters once a week. That would still put me 25 years behind whats new!

It's very political since he ends up being PM.

1. Peter Davidson was in a 7 minute special for Children in Need - very very funny... It's available on YouTube (link at the end).

2. Moonboots... Aw gee... I've been looking for that for ages. I have the other book but not his first one. He did own the Whomobile (he also owned bessie for a while but Nicholas Courtney - the Brigadier - owns it now (I think).

3. Unit is still around but got pushed into the background by C19 in the books and then later by Torchwood in the series.

4. Davros is coming in Series 4 (I think). I heard that Ben Kingsley might be coming to play him - but that could just be a rumour.

And now the Time Crash video.

Oh, bugger. Sorry. Say regenerated next time. Less confusion. :(

Of a sort. It was an 8-minute charity special for Children in Need called Time-Crash. Funny, but still canonical.

Yeah. It was a pity to hear of his passing.

It has gone one to appear in the new series episodes Aliens of London/World War Three, The Christmas Invasion, Army of Ghosts/Doomsday, and The Sound of Drums/The Last of the Time Lords. After Aliens of London/World War Three, apparently the real life UN doesn't want to be associated with UNIT, os while they can still use 'UNIT' in the show, they can't say what it stands for. Episodes of Torchwood have referenced UNIT, and UNIT seems set to make a reappearance in the fourth new series.

No, but it may be on the cards.

Sorry, I'm very pedantic.

Tom Baker was my first, back when I was about 16. Found Doctor Who on a PBS station and followed it through the 5th Doctor. Pretty much had to miss the 6th Doctor and catch One through Three in the odd rerun; then I saw the 7th in the TV movie last year or so. Now that the new show has started, I've watched it from the beginning.

While I'll probably always love Tom Baker's Doctor, I have to admit that Eccleston and Tennant have done great jobs with him. I was disappointed when Eccleston left the show, but it was nice to see it "survive" one of the Doctor's regenerations--and so well.

If I have to pick a favorite, it's going to be Christopher Eccleston at this point. I love Tennant, but Eccleston's stories really resonated with me (one of my favorites being "The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances"). A few of Tennant's episodes have fallen a bit short of the mark for me (not many, and not far--but just enough to keep Eccleston on top).

Of course, I'm now 37, married, and have three children--so Christopher Eccleston's really my "first" Doctor for this part of my life!

That's got to be on, if not the only, longest running tv series of all time.

My dad will be interested to hear this. He likes the show as well.
