La Diablesse - A fancy woman who, dressed in white, casually lures men into the woods to their doom. She has an ugly face covered by a wide brimmed hat and has one human foot and one cow's hoof. The pronunciation we use is 'Laja-bless'.

Soucouyant - An old woman who changes into a fireball, enters people's homes through crevices, and drinks their blood. The pronunciation we use is 'sookooya'.

Moko Jumbie - this is an actual stilt walker but he represents giants that used to guard the land.

Douens themselves are little monsters which are the souls of dead children. You know them because their feet are backwards. We pronounce them 'dwens'.

Jumbies are malevolent spirits and are probably the most popular of Trinidad folklore.

They sound amazing, my nana used to tell me stories of Baba Yaga. they scared me so much the thought of her still raises the hair on my neck. I would definitely read a book with characters like those in them, feel free to pm me I am trying to get back in touch with my creative side to do some writing and art. i would love to hear how your story progresses

I don't really know much about mythical creatures but I ticked on dragon, because I like Puff the magic dragon.

Dragons are not mystical, its just the term used for Dinosaurs prior to Richard Owen coining the name.
Like wise Unicorn is also found in the Bible, Job 39:9 Psalm 29:6 Isaiah 34,7

Fairies do indeed still exist.

Modern science has made us think we know everything but in reality it has made us stupid, we know nothing, we can only see about .0002% of the Electromagnetic Spectrum that we even care to consider, never mind that it can probably extend further to infinity. Just because we no longer experience things that mankind experienced for aeons, we discount their testimonies due to our scientific arrogance.

Any real experts on the Fey please PM me.

Like others have said I like them all. Faeries and vampires are probably at the top. Phoenix are interesting and pretty.

Me, too----I, pretty much, like them all----with Unicorns, Faeries, the Sphinx, and the Phoenix, at the top of my list.
