Mike passes the pink phone to Mason who says "Captain Charlie Plank, is that you?"
Charlie: "Yeah, who is this?"
Mason: "Mason Williams. I assume you heard that I am now in control of the FSS Damocles, right?"
Charlie: "Yeah, you seem to be getting demolished out there though. I assume that's why your calling, right?"
Mason: "Yep. Do you have control of the bridge of Nexus Station yet?"
Charlie: "Not yet, but it's a priority and the battle seems to be in our favor."
Mason: "OK, I have an idea for getting rid of the last enemy ship. Once you get to the bridge we can use the breach device on that station like a gigantic particle cannon."
Charlie: "That would destroy the breach device though, wouldn't it?"
Mason: "Yes, so you will only have one shot. Make it count."
Charlie: "OK. I assume you will lore the enemy ship into position, right?"
Mason: "Yep, that's the plan."
Charlie: "OK, good luck."
Mason: "Good luck to you too."

The call cuts and Mason passes the phone back to Laura. He says "OK, new objective. Lore that ship towards Jupiter a bit, that way Captain Charlie Plank can attempt to shoot them with the breach device."

"What's the breach device?" Guinan wanted to know.

Mike explains, "There are two ways to make wormholes that we have discovered, one is fairly easy and it involves creating them in the same place and the other way creates one side of the wormhole locally and the other side in a random location in space and time. That's how the wormhole between here and the Pokemon world was created. It involves synthesizing two exotic matter pellets about the size of grains of rice from energy and then accelerating them to nearly the speed of light in the accelerator ring around the perimeter of the station before colliding them into each other, this creates gravitational waves so powerful that they tear a hole in space. That's a highly simplified and quick explenation anyway, I won't get into the quantum gravity equations. I think Mason is planning on disabling the electromagnets in the accelerator ring at the right moment to cause an exotic matter pellet to shoot out at a carrier, I'd have to do some calculations to see how much damage it will do but just the kinetic energy alone would likely be enough to disable that carrier."

Mason adds, "Yep, we are about to turn Nexus station into the most powerful cannon even to exist in the Sol system. It will make a big gaping hole in the accelerator ring, but it can be fixed later and we only need one shot anyway if all goes well."

"How may I help?" Oeuyia inquired calmly while gently holding Karion in her arms.

"Maybe you could try to see why they stopped shooting at us?" Guinan suggested to Oeuyia. "Maybe their weapons are damaged, hopefully?"

Then, Guinan spoke to Mason. "Does the station have enough supplies for us all to be stranded there until you can repair the breach device?" she asked.

"Stranded? What do you mean?" Lilli asked.
"Are you saying we won't be able to go back?"

If I wish to do so, though, I need some heads-up on the current situation. I don't want to read the entire forum because I'm having a tough time reading the entire thing.

Laura squeaked in horror when she heard the word 'stranded' from Lilli. "As in we'll be stuck here forever?"

(Um, well, we're kind of not even in Pokemon right now. Unless Daniel somehow met Hoopa and dragged him to this place called the Nexus Station you may want to wait until we get back to Kalos.

Mike replies, "Don't worry, the breach device is only needed to make wormholes. Opening existing ones just requires a portal chamber and those should work just fine."

The enemy carrier rotates so that the damaged section faces away form the FSS Damocles and finishes containing the damage. Once they get that all sorted they resume their attack.

Captain Planck hails the FSS Damocles and his voice is put on through the speakers. "Captain Williams, the control center is ours. Start trying to get that enemy carrier in the line of fire and we will-.. *static* -ivate the bre-.. *static* -eem to be loosing conn-.. *static*" Captain Plank's voice is replaced by another voice, "Hello Commander Williams, this is Admiral Johnston from the FSS Hades. We hacked your communications and we know all about your plan to lore us to where the breach device can hit us, it's clearly a last ditch effort and I can assure you that we won't fall for it. I am giving you the chance to surrender now. This battle was hopeless for you from the beginning, you have no choi-.. *static*" Captain Plank's voice comes through again, "Phew, encryption key changed. And yes, I heard it too." Mason says, "OK, new plan. Plank, get that breach device ready. Mike, you know how I said we probably won't have to ram them again? Well about that... Get them between us and Jupiter."

Mike maneuvers the ship such that the FSS Hades is between them and Jupiter, and while he's doing that Mason fires the last 4 missiles aiming at the engines of the Hades. Two of the missiles manage to make it past the countermeasures and hit their targets, damaging two of the five engines. Mason orders, "Alright Mike, full speed ahead!" Mike reluctantly puts full thrust on all remaining engines propelling them head on towards the FSS Hades. After a few seconds they hit with a loud bang and a sharp deceleration, Mike is thrown out of his seat again but he quickly scrambles back to it. "OK, keep the throttle up. If we can't lore them then we will push them." says Mason. The FSS Hades struggles to escape but the acceleration keeps their ship partially impaled on the nose of the FSS Damocles.

Once Nexus station is facing them edge on Mason says "Hit it Charles" and then a few seconds later part of the rim of the station explodes leaving a big hole in the accelerator ring as the projectile bursts out leaving a streak of light behind it. The streak of light punches right through the FSS Hades like it's nothing leaving a hole nearly a meter wide going all the way through to the other side. The projectile produces gravitational waves powerful enough to be felt on the bridge of the FSS Damocles. Mike disables the engines and Mason jumps from his seat victoriously. "YEA! We did it!" Mike opens the blast shields over the windows to see escape pods shooting out of the FSS Hades, the hole seemed to have passed through two reactors and probably a lot of other important stuff.

Captain Charlie Plank's voice comes through the line again, "By the way, don't call me Charles."

When the intercom was hacked, a scowl creeped across her sweet face. "You meaniehead idiots!" She screeched, even though they couldn't hear her. She sighed in relief when it was fixed. When the shot was fired, Laura held onto the wall for dear life.

Laura squinted at the enemy ship, as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing. She looked at Calem, who was staring at the same hole, confirming what she was seeing. "Yay!" She squealed, throwing her fists up in the air and jumping around with a grin a mile wide, then high fiving Calem, who seemed just as happy.

The four Pokemon, who were watching intently, let out happy squeals and doing happy dances, except for Riku, who had his eyes closed and his arms crossed, with a content look on his face.

Um, I ended up drawing Mike with his Litten a while back and forgot to post it...



And yes, I know he looks a little fabulous and really terrible in this pic (in my defense I'm used to drawing girls, please don't be mad at me! ))

As the Heiwa Federation ship resumed its attack, Guinan started calling out damage again from her position, strapped to the chair. "We lost an engine... oh, there goes another one, leaking fuel..." She was glad the attacks had stopped long enough for Mike to explain and for her to strap herself in, because she was knocked around quite a lot. As things settled down, she did not cheer as Laura had, but she did breathe easier. "Is anyone hurt?" she asked the group at large.

Laura poked Calem in the shoulder he landed on in all the turbulence shenanigans causing him to wince in pain, confirming to her that it still hurt. "Calem hurt his shoulder." He said, pointing her thumb at him, and mentally facepalmed when whe was about to call Riku over to use Heal Pulse on him, but rerembered that she told him to get rid of that move in favor of Drain Punch a weeks ago...

"Well I have a pounding headache, if that counts as hurt..." Gristle complained. He had been positioned in an empty seat off to the side, holding his head with his hands.

He flopped back in the seat and shoved a hand into the pocket of hoodie, digging around lazily. "Ugh... I could use some catnip..." he mumbled.

"All is well." Oeuyia reported with a cryptic smile.

Laura sighed in annoyance at Oeuyia. "All is not well! Calem hurt his shoulder!"
