"There is no need to apologize so much. You are not annoying at all, Chere." Oeuyia smiled encouragingly at Laura.

[Chere could be translated from Mythavean as 'little one' or something similarly endearing.]

Laura looked behind her. "Anna, Riku! Are you coming?" Anna ran up to Laura, not hearing any of the former conversation. "Oeuyia, have you met my sweet litte Sylveon?" She asked, picking her up and snuggling her close to her face.

"A...Sylveon?" Oeuyia looked thoughtful. "There are many creatures similar to Sylveon in my world, such as Nekofeli."

"Isn't she cute? She's also a total powerhouse in Pokemon battles." Laura added.

"And those two over there are Gumball and Gabe." Calem introduced.

"I ended up comming up with the names myself! Calem said he would adopt all the nicknames I came up with for his Pokemon if he could name my Mewtwo Freiza." Calem smiled fondly at the memory, from two years ago, when she ran up to him in Kiloude City grinning like a little kid at Christmas, saying that she just caught a Mewtwo in the Pokemon Village, with said Mewtwo Mega Evolving for the first time.

(I know this takes place in Pokemon X, but I like Mega Mewtwo Y better, so whenever Laura's Mewtwo Mega Evolves, can it be a she and evolve into a Mega Mewtwo Y and be the same one from Genesect and the Ledgend Awakened?)

"Why do Pokemon battle?" Oeuyia asked in genuine confusion.

[Sure; Laura's Mewtwo can be however you want her to be.]

"Um..." Laura started. "I never thought about it, but I've never met a Pokemon that doesn't like battling. I think there are some, but their trainers are considerate enough not to make them, which is why you don't see them every day."

Kiki nodded. "I know how that feels. I used to let someone make decisions for me, and because of that, I... made some mistakes that can't be undone," they said darkly.

They looked down at their gloved hands, an empty gaze in their eyes.
"Funny how I can travel through space, but I can't turn back time..." they said.

When Laura started apologizing, Kiki smiled at her.
"But as someone who's made that mistake, I can tell you that the ultimate thing you can do while you are alive is to respect your own wishes-- and don't feel pressured by others to do things you don't want to do." They grinned.
"That's what made me happy."

"People always think that I'm just a shallow ditz and that it was pure luck that I saved the world by catching Hatsune and battling Lysandre that last time and became the Leauge Champion, and say that I'm wayy too innocent for somebody in my position... And even I wonder how I ended up like this. I seriously think there's something wrong with me." She said sadly.

"It is odd how humans often allow their perceptions of their lives to be manipulated by other humans' perceptions of how they should act. There is nothing wrong with you, Chere. You are beautiful as your true self." Oeuyia leaned in closer and gave Laura a quick hug. "You may not like the question I am about to ask, but it must be asked: is there something wrong with Karion?" The child in question was busy playing with Anna on the floor, squeaking like a tiny kitten.

Laura smiled at Oeuyia. "How am I not supposed to let other people's preceptions of how I should act go? The media wanted a young overskimpily dressed girl that they can... you know... to when Diantha finally lost against someone, but instead they got me, a Loli that was too young, which made them mad."

"The media, peoples' perceptions, none of that matters. Your health and well-being is much more important than pleasing anyone. Also, you did not answer my question. Does that mean you are afraid of answering sincerely?" Oeuyia asked calmly, though there was a slight edge to her voice.

"No, she's fine, she's just..." Laura sighed. "A tad creepy in how emotionless she is, and how curiously weird she is." As soon as the words fell out of her mouth, she cringed. "Oh no, I'm sorry, I diddn't mean to insult your daughter, I'm so so sorry!"

"No, you answered truthfully. No need to get upset. If I may, why do you consider an emotionless being to be creepy, as you put it?" Oeuyia asked in an honestly curious tone.

(It is okay that I add things that weren't actually in the game, right?)

"I don't know what it is, I've always felt like that. I think it's that you can't tell ifthey're hiding something or not, and that just gives me a really unsettling feeling? Heck, I even felt like that when I first met Calem, and just look at us now! I geuss it also has a little to do with Irene..."

Oeuyia looked quite contemplative. "What could Karion be hiding?" She asked as she picked the little girl up. Karion squirmed around indignantly and reached for Anna again, but then noticed Laura looking at her and returned the stare quizzically.

"I know she's not hiding anything, but there's still that unsettling feeling." Laura said, looking away embarrassedly.
