[in case you wondered who were the artists who performed "bedrock twitch" on that Flintstones episode, it was voice actor Daws Butler backed by The Wrecking Crew. ]

Marijuana and roaches: YUCK! Just announce no, everyone!

GROSSNESS

PS Thanks for the info! I have the series on DVD and binge-watched last summer. Season 1 is so off-colour; it was hilarious!
It might be time again!

("off-colour"? The Flintstones was "off-colour"? perhaps that phrase means something different across the pond? )

I couldn't think of the right word. I mean it was really adult or non-politically correct. Fred was very rude in general, and to Wilma sometimes (although she fought back). I almost said it was "frank". I'm lost for the right adjective. It was funny because I totally didn't expect that level of innuendo or subtext from an animated show.

Emily might emulate sister's incredible sonnets.

hmmm, I hadn't thought of The Flintstones in that way before, but now that you think of it, it WAS intended as the first cartoon to appeal to adults back in the day.

(Do you know Ray Cooper, Blabbs? He played percussion for Elton and blew me away -- bongos, those organ tube things with mallets, tambourine, incredible solos -- I thought of you and wished you could see).

some new acoustics really entice dreary reporters, unfortunately man!

According to my cousin's husband who knows a lot about music there were:
"Three percussionists and four kits. One was all symphonic by hand, mallet and cymbals". <--- (Ray Cooper)

(Hope that makes sense).

He was so incredible I was swing dancing with a 65+ year old short-haired, conservative looking banker lady in a pantsuit and pearls (a stranger, beside me) and sharing her concert binoculars. :) . We went a bit insane together. *Donna*

Never overestimate Cassie's third uninterrupted rise; now always laugh.

Gotta sleep, Blabbs!
Farewell!

Yup, Crocodile Rock was intense. Toward the end of the show it occurred to me I hadn't heard it so I yelled "CROCODILE ROCK!" and it started right on cue :) It was a blast! I get to do it all again for a second show too!

Ciao Blabbs!
