Well, at least I’ll see a desert! I wish for my city to not be buried in sand.

Granted! It's only build on sand. Sand isn't something you want to build on.

I wish I had a bamboo plant.

Granted, but it’ll grow through your ceiling. Well, your home gets filled with air then. How nice!

I wish for my city to not be built on sand either.

Granted! Your city is built on nothing. Your city has collapsed.

I wish there wasn't so much humidity in the south. It makes temps feel that much hotter and that much colder.

Granted, but there is now no water anywhere in the South.

I wish I had the exclusive right to sell hydrants to the South.

Yeah, humidity makes a huge difference in how temperatures are experienced.

Granted, the air is very dry. You’ll feel parched just taking a breath and who knows when it’ll rain the next time. The US is now drier than Australia.

Granted but they're so desperate for hydrants that you'll get robbed and left behind waaaay into the desert without water. Maybe they'll sell you one of your hydrants back. Hope you have a lot of money on you.

Granted! You are neither a ghost or homeless, but heavy snow causes your roof to cave in. You must stay elsewhere while the roof is being fixed.

Granted! You go digging and find a priceless diamond. Think you’re the only one wanting that one? You’re chased by shady men who will stop at nothing to get your diamond, including throwing you into a snake pit. You had better run!

I wish for there to never be enough snow on my roof for the roof to cave in.

Granted, but the snow is so heavy on the big pine tree outside your window, and the wind the so strong that the tree uproots and falls through your window.

I wish there was no such thing as sketchy, greedy people who could care less about hurting other people.

Granted, but there will still be those who will for other reasons than greed.

I wish for the pine to not uproot and fall through my window.

Granted! It didn't uproot, but it snaps in half and still falls through your window.

I wish some people weren't so horrible. It's almost like an insult to the whole human race.

Granted, some aren’t. Others are. They’ve always been around and always will, unless we develop medical mind control means or genetically breed them out.

I wish for the pine to have many good years left and never fall through my window.

Granted! The pine tree stays as it is, and doesn't fall through your window. One day when you were admiring the tree, you absentmindedly left a candle burning near your curtains. They catch on fire. You whole room, and later your whole apartment is engulfed in flames...but that pine is safe.

I wish I hadn't foolishly stayed up so late (or early, depending on how you look at it).

Well, as long as the pine is safe…. Cough!
