Hebrides - An archipelago off of the west coast of Scotland divided into the Inner Hebrides and the Outer Hebrides. I've often thought it would be interesting to spend a month or two one summer renting and living in a rent house on some place like Colonsay.

Lake of the Woods -- Minnesota, US and Ontario and Manitoba, Canada

Supposed to be very good lake for Muskie fishing, especially just over on the Canadian side.

There are several small islands with houses. They apparently drive the building materials to the islands across the ice in the wintertime and come back in the summer to build the homes.

Who wouldn't want to live here?
