Granted! You change colors based on your mood like a mood ring. Now everyone can read you like a book, and you can't hide your true feelings from anyone.

I wish for it not to get so hot that I can fry eggs on the sidewalk.

Cough, that wasn’t quite what I had in mind (even though the octopus does use it that way, as well as camouflage)

Granted, you can’t fry eggs on the sidewalk. But your shoe soles still go a little gooey because it’s really hot.

I wish to not be read like an open book.

Well, I had to corrupt your wish...so there!

Granted! You can't be read like an open book. People can't read you at all. They also can't understand anything you say or do. This leaves them pondering about you. You are sort of a mystery to them.

I wish the soles of my shoes wouldn't get gooey when it's hot out.

When I picked up that it turns colors to show anger and fear, I thought it was really cool. Now it suddenly seems less cool. More embarrassing. Poor octopus. Yeah I know it’s likely more about the octopi showing submission and dominance, but it still got me thinking that I wonder if an octopus can dislike showing it. Octopi are cool animals! Nowhere near as great as the shelled ones, but still really awesome. Sorry, for going off on a tangent! I really like octopus!


Granted, your shoes won’t go gooey. You start wearing clogs, so they catch fire. Much better! I hope you have a fire extinguisher on you.

I wish there was anyone who could relate to most things I say or do.

Granted! There are people who could relate to you, but you'll never meet them.

I wish I could someone see the Northern Lights.

Granted, you will see northern lights when a Carrington Event sized solar storm hits the Earth. The northern lights are marvelous, but all electronics are fried and the world will be set back to the state we were 100 years ago.

I wish Earth won’t be hit by an enormous solar flare.

Granted! I wish that too!

I wish I could eat whatever I wanted without gaining weight.

Granted, you can eat anything you want without gaining weight. It just go straight through so you can enjoy any taste you want. Sadly, it also means you can’t make use of the nutrients in food. You will suffer from so many nutritional deficiencies you’re a medical mystery. I think you’ll get to meet a lot of doctors.

I wish I could read people’s thoughts.

Wish denied. Total violation of privacy.

I wish for my private thoughts to not be read by anyone. Some things are for me and me only.

Actually I would assume that if telepathy was common, then some would be better at it than others, and there would be ways of blocking scans, and that ability would also likely be varying. That’s how it always works in sci-fi and fantasy anyway!

I wish for a package I am waiting for to arrive today.

Granted! It comes today, but the contents are messed up.

I wish snail mail wasn't so snail-ish.

Granted, now snail mail move at turtle’s pace. (I dare you!)

I wish for the content to not be messed up.

Granted! The contents weren't messed up, but it was sent to your neighbors instead. They don't bother to tell you they got your package by mistake.
