You're afraid of disappointment, disappointing your dearest mother and your honest father, not because you are a successful doctor, but that you are very much a miserable fellow, aren't you? I do not hold your expulsion from John Hopkins to be an impediment, despite your enthusiastic, extratypical learning. After all, I graduated from John Hopkins, on a scholarship. Patients are puzzles to you. Not quite a Rubik's cube, more like a multi-dimensional jigsaw, only, you have to be careful taking them apart. You have little taste though, and the British actor who plays me does a better American accent than yours.

But most people are boring, they're only interesting when something fun is wrong with them.

Only people like you and I are interesting to meet without being racked with some disease with a mile long name in latin.
