"Humans, when they're first born, they don't know anything. They need parents to show them the ropes." Laura explained.

"My parents are't quite as high ranking as Laura, but they are pretty famous Pokemon trainers. They pressured me and my sister to be as great as they are, so our childhoods were pretty much nothing but studying. I think they saw more potential in Serena, so they focused their attention onto her, therefore I still lived with them, but I pretty much grew up on my own. Serena would try to talk to me, but they would get mad at her for 'talking to lesser people'." He looked down slightly. "The only memory of my childhood that I actually liked was the two weeks during elementary school, where this little girl came from Hoenn to stay in Kalos for two weeks for her mother's grand Rhyhorn race. We had tons of fun with another girl from my grade... And something about three Shoutmon toys and writing something on a wall in an alleyway, but I don't rerember their names or what they looked like, but I know one of them had a pet Froakie.

While Calem was talking about that, Laura had a very confused look on her face. "And this girl was a Rhyhorn racer from Hoenn's daughter, who had a Froakie, and writing on a wall?" That is way too big of a coincidence. she thought, raising an eyebrow.

"Or is it the other way round? Do parents need children to teach them important things they forget, like innocence and having fun and treating other beings with compassion?" Oeuyia mused somewhat rhetorically.
"I can change form now that I've eaten lots!" Nyaromon announced, suddenly glowing and growing to Plotmon.


[Plotmon looks like a little peach-coloured puppy with big blue eyes, a small smile, pink 'blush' marks, downwards folding ears, and a large golden 'collar' type thing around her neck. Her head is disproportionately bigger than the rest of her body, and her paws are quite small. She doesn't seem to have a tail either.]

Calem chucked. "I think it goes both ways. Kids teach their parents innocence, which I think Laura has pretty much nailed..." He looked at her, with the same worried and confused expression on her face. "But not at the moment. Parents teach their kids not to burst out bawling in the middle of public."

Laura sighed. "Is it so bad to want some answers on what my life was like pre-move-to-Kalos?" Laura sighed, looking up at Hatsune, who, despite being very cramped, picked up a leg and put it around Laura and Calem, snuggling them close, as if she was trying to get their minds off of the neglective parents and amnesia. That was one thing Laura loved about Hatsune, despite being a ledgendary Pokemon revered as the deity of love and life, could grow so attached to a mere human girl sutch as her.

Karion happily placed Plotmon on her own head as if the little Digimon was simply a nice looking hat. She then wandered over to peer at Hatsune curiously, as if she wasn't quite sure what she was seeing.

Hatsune jumped slightly when she felt Kairion playing with her long, silky black and blue colored tail. "Um, you might not want to, she doesn't like it when you mess with her tail..." Laura warned.

Kiki snickered at what Guinan said. "Why bother with fences when you can teleport?" they grinned. "Or actually.. why bother with humans or El-Aurians when you can date ghosts and Pokemon?"

Everyone stared at them silently. Kiki just smiled nonchalantly and took a sip of their drink.

Gristle shrugged. "To be fair, my girlfriend's a cat, so I can't really judge." More vacant staring.
"Well where I'm from, cats are sentient creatures, and--!"

"Honestly, humans suck." Kiki said bluntly. "I can see why you wouldn't bother." They casually took a bite out of their sandwich and swallowed. "....Looks-wise, I mean. They're mammals, but they've got no tails, fur... it's kinda weird. I don't really dig the humans either."

Before either party could say any more, Lilli came to Gristle's defense. "W-w-well I think humans can be quite attractive!" they blurted. "Some humans are really attractive.. like the Kalos Pokemon professor!"

By now everyone stared at Lilli, even Kiki. Lilli looked to see if they had a sandwich to chew on, but then they had no sandwich, so they whipped out a pack of gum and began chewing it awkwardly. Chump, chump, chump.

"Hey!" Laura said defensively. "Calem here is pretty hot, and he's really nice and kind too! And besides, it's not unheard of for people to like Pokemon like that, but why would you want tails and wings and fur??" Calem blushed slightly.

"Wait, you like Professor Sycamore?" Laura asked in suprise.

"I have tails and wings and fur!" Plotmon pointed out indignantly, but no one seemed to be paying attention.
"I have six companions, two of whom are female and the other four have no gender." Oeuyia revealed. "I once had a dragon shapeshifter as a companion, and back in our world I have adopted seven Sphinx children."
"Ah ah." Karion insisted, and Oeuyia smiled slightly. "...and a cute girl and a Digimon, yes."

Guinan grinned at Kiki. "You're quite the adventurer aren't you?"

After listening to Laura's and Calem's stories, Guinan said, "You've both had to be strong, haven't you? Now you can draw strength from each other."

Guinan grinned at the new transformation. "Angewomon, I have this crazy feeling like, to pet you the way I'd pet a... a creature that looks a little like you where I live. Probably not polite though." She laughed as Karion put the digimon om her head. "But Karion could do it."

"I like being petted." Plotmon stated cheerfully, and then added "Especially by people with warmness inside."
"Are you referring to Tribbles, by any chance, Guinan?" Oeuyia asked mischievously.

Being constantly held up to his parents sky high expectations of being a strong and famous trainer, and then being forced to live in his sister's shadow... That must be why for the first portion of our adventure, he was always trying to be better than me as my rival, no mater how much he says it never bothered him... Laura thought.

"I'd say we both have been through some pretty tough times." Calem said.

"But that's okay. Sure, we may have seen some stuff no kid our age, or anybody for that matter should have seen, but that just means we're just metaphorically stuck to each other by the hard times we've faced. I know you'll be there to comfort me when and if I start feeling really sad or scared again, just like I'll be there if, Arceus forbid, you end up having another one of those freakouts where you remember... what happened. I love you, Calem." She said, with a content yet scincere look on her face.

He cracked a smile. "I love you too."

Guinan snickered. "Maybe," she said to Oeuyia in response to her comment about tribbles, and she reached out a hand to pet Plotman while she perched on Karion's head. She also gave Laura and Calem an encouraging nod.

A few moments after Laura and Calem confessed their love, Guinan asked Mike: "Do you have any animal life on your colonies then?"

While they are talking about relationships Mason's voice comes through the comm link, "I've got a wife named Ashley Williams, she's on Ganymede right now. Oh crap, that reminds me, I still haven't called her to say that I'm OK! I'll be right back." Mike casually says "OK, have fun with that. I'm still as single as ever." He turns to Sam, "Sam, we're bros right?" Sam replies, "I suppose you could say that." Mike says "Well, I do have Sam."

During the conversation about how weird humans are Mike adds "I don't really like humans all that much either, they are currently blowing each other up over a bunch of big space rocks. Surely this is not the best species out there."

In response to Guinan Mike says "Yeah, there are plenty of plants and animals on larger planetary colonies. Besides Earth the most populated celestial bodies are Luna and Mars which are both in the process of being teraformed, they have a lot of biodiversity already. Space stations like this rarely have animals though, and most people even in planetary colonies prefer vitro meat anyway because nothing dies to make it."

"Aww! I bet you two are really cute together!" Laura chirped as Mason mentioned Ashley.

"There are some good humans out there!" laura piped, when mike said his comment about how not fond he was of humans.
It did seem a little weird to her that Mike didn't really seem worried about that kinda thing, but oh well, it wasn't her place to question it.

"What do you think? Do we make a good couple, too?" Plotmon asked Laura excitedly, still perched on Karion's head.

"Umm..." Laura leaned over and whispered to Oeuyia. "Is it possible for a person to like a Digimon like that?"
