Granted! You are inspired to wish for a Grand Unified Field Theory that will explain the four physical forces with the anomalies of quantum mechanics and the greater mysteries of Dark Matter and Dark Energy?a complete explanation and proof of this theory, along with testable experiments to verify it. In a few years, you could have the Nobel Prize in physics and world acclaim, as well as enabling new fantastic technologies, such as force-fields, and communication systems faster than the speed of light, and frozen yogurt that doesn't melt as fast.
... But now that I granted you the idea of what to wish for, your wishes are all used up.

I wish for a box.

Granted. Unfortunately, there?s a black hole in the box, and it proceeds to swallow you and then the Earth. I hope you?re happy!

I wish I could rearrange the stars in the sky at will, so I can draw something for everyone to see.

Wish Granted to you. However, the same wish was granted to an alien onlooker a few hundred light years away a few centuries ago. They just moved our sun to a new position far away, breaking Earth's elliptical orbit and sending us on a rouge path through the vastness of space. I hope you didn't have any important plans for tomorrow, because this is going to be a very long night.

I wish I knew everything. Absolutely everything.

Granted. You now know, among other things, that your wife is cheating on you and you were adopted, and that the bully who picked on you in high school now has a higher paying job than you and is a hit with the ladies.

But now that you know everything you negated your own "free will" (assuming such a thing existed to begin with). You cannot choose which flavor or ice-cream you will buy tomorrow, because you already know which flavor you are going to get. You cannot have a meaningful conversation with anyone ... ever. You already know what they will say and how they will react to what you will say, and know what you will say. You know how every George R.R. Martin character will die. You know that the new Star Wars movies will suck. You will never experience the thrill of a plot twist, ever again, not in literature, nor theater, nor film, nor holographic projectio-tainment (coming in the next century). You will never be surprised by your achievements or take satisfaction from your accomplishments.

Moreover, the amount of entropy required to store the data for the every particle in the universe in your tiny brain creates an energy density so intense, it forms a black hole in your skull. (I found one of those in a box on this thread.)

I wish for a way to reverse the entropy of a closed system. (i.e. perpetual motion machine)

Granted. A corrupt scientist will insist he invented it first and will sue for for patent infringement.

I wish the damages caused by natural disasters were completely undone.

Granted. A shift in space-time occurs, causing everything to travel through time in reverse.

I wish I could finish up these journal articles faster without skimping on quality.

You get help, but they have to be paid and it eats up all your profits.

Granted, you are enabled with such self control that you can turn your self into a different animal, but once you done so you lose your gift and remain that animal forever.


I wish mosquitoes and fly's and nat's never existed, but instead was replaced with something else less as bothersome and pestilent to humans, that also completed the food chain for those whom feed off those other insects keeping nature in balance.

You can, but depending on how you do it, you get different answers.


I wish that I could fly under my own power.

granted, but it is so exhausting you cannot fly for long periods at a time, and you can do it no higher than 4 feet above the ground.

Granted, your now the largest and most pretty newt ever found, and are now well taken care of in a petting zoo.


I wish I knew how to time and dimension travel, as well as live forever (young).

Granted. You know how to do it. Unfortunately, it requires some precious stone found only in a particular planet orbiting a star in a galaxy billions of light-years away. Good luck.

I wish I had some means of emitting gravitational waves that could be noticed by the naked eye.

Granted, you suddenly convex into a miniature graviton star then collapse in upon your self, as others watch on in disbelieving, before they too get sucked down into your gravitational fields.

I wish I had a real wish that others may try and corrupt.
