To be the best, Starcraft is the only video game that is a national sport of a nation (South Korea) and they have a professional league and multiple 24 hour Starcraft channels. You could make a lotta money.

Yeah, and spend 14 hours a day playing just one game. That's not fun anymore... it sounds like work to me.

I'm only interested in understanding and creating and viewing beautiful things... Being a game champion holds none of that for me.

Sounds like a whole lotta fun to me, these guys and gals are worshipped like football players and make loads of money. And like most other sports their is an off season which gives them time to be their dastardly nerd selves.

What can I say, I got a different outlook on life than most. None of that holds much interest to me. I have little desire to be the best. I prefer endeavors where there is no "best."

I do like to see games as Sport, though.

How much does this Starcraft game cost now? I doubt it's available in most shops.

You can find it in a pack with its expansion pack and strategy guide for 20 US dollars.

It's got one of the longest production runs of any game ever made.

A Starcraft Battle Chest costs about $49.95 Aussie at Electronic Boutique Australia. That's game plus expansion and strategy guides.

I'm sick of being called a "dingleberry" by Trigger11, Quatermass I hope you're paying attention.

Not too nice I guess.
Can I call you Obi Wan Kenobi? :P

Only if I can ask you: "Hey Yoda, wanna soda?"

lol

I think you overreacted a little towards Trigger, being from the name calling wouldn't be that bad I guess, I thought that came from an argument.

First time Trigger called me a dingleberry was on this thread, either this or the longest thread one, second time was in the name calling thing, he's right, but it's still his trolling vendetta.

Yeah, pick up StarCraft. A great game, with a good story.

And I hear you can make money playing it somehow...
