Lose.

I have this funny problem with the English words lose and loose. Neither of them resembles any Finnish word, hence no practical mnemonic rule can be formed to tell them apart. Their meanings are totally different, so one might think that they cannot be confused. But they look too much like each other.

Surprisingly, the second sentence seems (to this poster) to be a bit odd, possibly because of the possibility of using, "unloose."

Unloose is actually a (rarely used) word.

The one that is most common though is the apostrophe for plurals
I saw a roadsign (i.e. from the government) that said "No HGV's"

You wouldn't say "no apple's", would you? (some are starting to -_-)

But that's me being pedantic to most people I'm sure :P
