One thing Roman Emperors hated about Christians is that Christians would obey them perfectly in all respects excepts for worshiping the Emperor as a god.

The emperor was not worshipped in Rome.

He was beloved usually and held giant orgies but wasn't worshipped.

No. I just put that in because it is what Lord Vetinari says in the Discworld children's book Where's My Cow? You should read it to your kids. Just edit out Foul Ole Ron's bit. Otherwise, it's fine.
