It's the motion sensor in the lower left hand corner of your HUD in the Halo games, those red blips are enemys.

The avatar and the signature go well together, as although the avatar is from a different Doctor Who episode (The Age of Steel), it involves the Doctor making a very passionate argument against the Cybermen in both cases.
