P - Texas Panhandle

As dry as the area is, it's hard to imagine that there are granite mountains half a mile below ground -- the Amarillo Mountains -- covered by an alluvial floodplain.

Umbria - The only region of Italy that is completely surrounded by other regions of Italy. All the other Italian regions have either a coastline or border on another country (or both). Umbria is the only exception.

(Neuschwanstein) Castle is a nineteenth-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by King Ludwig, II of Bavaria, as a retreat and as an homage to Richard Wagner.

(It is too COOL, for WORDS!! I remember walking up the hill and when I came to a clearing in the trees, looking over at the mountains {the Swiss Alps} and town, and knowing, for the first time in my life, the meaning of the word "awe". Also, Sleeping Beauty's castle, at Disneyland, CA, is patterned after Neuschwanstein Castle {English: "New Swanstone Castle"}.)
