Quackenbush still plies his trade in these waters.......

The lake has lots of nice lotuses in it.

I feel all will come back to gambol and commune.

(Gamboling means frolicking, not gambling).

I bet it does Quackenbush, wink wink! I love playing kittypoker - Texcat Holdem - no limits Yay! I have bit bag of crunchies here we could use for chips...

Zandrian returns, for curiosity has got the better of him. A gambling cat? First time I've seen one if those. I shall get uncharacteristically violent if anyone suggests using my bag of nuts as chips...

The water looks so peaceful today Emily. Taniwha has gone to have a nice long sleep.

Emily is glad to see Zandrian and she's also eager to play poker! It's difficult to shuffle with her wingtips but she's able to flap a strong breeze which sorts the cards to perfection. If only Naia would return! Where is newkitty? It seems that Quacky is still gamboling in the sunlight. Emily wonders if there are more animals lurking in the sidelines who would like to join this game? If so, they're welcome to say hello!

Where did Jessie go? With her around we don't even need any Queens in the pack!

Jessie's travelling by limousine to have special 'Princess' playing cards manufactured. ((rolls eyes))

Down to earth squirrels would be quite happy to use leaves, for instance oak or maple leaves could be the Clubs.... Other leaves for spades, hearts and diamonds...

Jessie's hijinks are interrupted by a great splashing and whooshing as the Taniwha leaps out from the depths of the lake. A great gust of wind upsets Jessie's cards to reveal 2 more Aces (Oh that wicked kitty!) and the whole sinister plan is ruined. The ducks flap and quack in alarm - and Jessie, shamefaced, runs and hides under a bush.

It was just a prank... she mumbles.

Zandrian folds his arms and just glares at the last place Jess was seen.

The ducks haven't got their equilibrium back yet and are still in a turmoil.

Taniwha winks! I've never seen her do that before.

That Jessie! I think she needs to be taught a lesson! She is still hiding in case any repercussions should acome a visiting...
