Is it my turn to send a puzzle now?

Hey that's your age!

There is a cabin on a mountain. Later inspection reveals over three dozen dead people inside without any signs of poisoning, and there was plenty of food and water and air. Why is this?

Could it have been an avalanche? But there was air, so that's probably wrong...

Not an avalanche, not a volcano,
Not a carnivore, and not old potato.
As this piece of doggerel ends,
What caused this odd turn of events?

Hmm did they all commit suicide by shooting themselves?

Not by gun, not by sword,
Nor by endless smörgåsbord.
The people the guards did inspect,
And the guards, their work here I respect.

Well, the three dozen dead people emerged there by chance out of nothing. The evidence is in favor of this.

'Twas not always in this state,
Only weeks ago, at any rate.
Parent and child, relative and friend,
Were at the prime of their health when they met their end.

(neither a morgue nor a mausoleum, although it may be now)

Those eyes have something to do with it

After thoroughly analyzing the mystery of the three dozen dead people, I have deduced the only possible answer:







It was Professor Plum, in the billiard room, with the candlestick!
