*Reincarnates in the form of Jeffrey Dahmer, and heads for Quatermass, knocking him out with a swift blow to the head, dragging him off, slaughtering him and chopping his body into little pieces, ensuring each is roasted to perfection and consuming them*

I'd prefer Hannibal Lecter.

You're ornery at the moment. What's up?

Just in an aggressive, frustrated mood tonight....playing a serial killer or an insane woman on a mission can assist in that :P plus someone just beat me over the head with a guitar in a roleplay which adds to the mood :P

Oh.

*Quatermass regenerates, pulls himself out of the pot, then calls up a TARDIS that lands right on Graelwyn, as decisive as the Python foot. He then uses a quick bit of time travel to erase events up to just before she posted those lyrics.*

:P

Time travel. Gotta love it.

Oh Rollocks... Yield, I tell you, Yield

*starts to sing in a high pitched, shrill tone*

Or I shall keep singing... for eternity...even from beyond the grave (Tho the tone might be a tad earthy)

*Points the sonic screwdriver at Graelwyn and activates it.*

There. I have created a sonic spectrum nullification field. Otherwise known as:

a) a cone of silence.
b) a NCOSTFU field.

You're also meant to be mute.

Who needs a Tardis when you have a time travel phone booth?

I can counter any move anyone makes.

Time Travel Paradoxes
The movie's entire plot is a model example of a predestination paradox, wherein Bill and Ted are entrusted with the means to dramatically improve the entire universe of the future by a citizen (Rufus) of that very future. Near the end of the movie, Ted solves the problem of breaking into the jail by exploiting this paradox, demonstrating an unexpected (probably to himself as well) level of temporal insight. Knowing that time travellers (themselves) in the future world can provide aid to those in their current situation (as Rufus does originally), they resolve to help themselves break into the jail by stealing Ted's dad's keys from a couple of days ago and leaving them where they will be found at the exact moment of the resolution. This accordance with the Novikov self-consistency principle, suggests that there was never any possibility for Bill and Ted to fail.

Rufus never says what his name is. Instead, Bill and Ted tell their past selves to "listen to this dude Rufus". This is an example of an ontological paradox, in which predestined events necessitate prerequisite information to appear from nothing. This is similar to the film Back to the Future, in which Chuck Berry learns Jonny B. Goode from Marty McFly, who learned it from Chuck Berry.

Actually, no I don't. In fact, I'd dearly love to cut loose your ties and send you sailing off into the mauve memetic malevolent maelstrom called the internet. But you can't always get what you want.
