Yep. I happened to successfully pass through the storm (both figuratively and literally). I went through product training, and will now start taking calls for the entire shift starting next week. Afterward, a storm happened to pass by our country, and went through the heavy rains and floods just to go home.

The next person has experienced floods in their place in the world.

I have. Holland is delta country, i.e. the area where at least three major rivers (there are a few more) end up in the North Sea. The big 3 are the Rhine, the Maas and the Scheldt and well, occasionally they overflow creating floods.

Also in my youth, I was about 6 y/o, it rained so hard and long here (Hoevelaken) that the street (others as well of course) where we lived almost became a river. I remember us neighbourhood kids playing in the water that evening and had quite a bit of fun.

Both types of events are not that rare in Holland.

No, I'm sorry, lovely Tomasu, I don't really play computer games at all. I DO know something about the Netherlands, though, Erminea- I've visited there and have Dutch relatives (by marriage).
