Actually, that's a visual perspective problem. I was still on the construct page of eChem and it represents potential bonding areas with the sticks. The hydrogen is part of the methyl group.

Ah, I see it now. I wasn't paying attention (missing the big picture, as usual :doh: ) to the methyl group's carbon, and didn't notice the hydrogen was linked to it so it couldn't possibly be linked to the oxygen.

I actually miss this stuff, but my knowledge is a little shallow.
