As for 50% tax, that is stupid. There should be progressive taxes or sales taxes. I do agree with that.

What is this Medicare thing?


Medicare is the antiquated, failed system founded by the misguided but misinformed Franklin Delano Roosevelt to attempt to insure people who cannot work and who are elderly. It has failed and become a burden on American society.


I think that it's a good idea that the vulnerable, elderly, and disabled have their healthcare paid in a place where private healthcare is otherwise too expensive.

Socialised healthcare is a much fairer system than private healthcare. If you can't afford the bills in America, you suffer. That's not very nice, is it? I mean it's fair enough losing electricity, but people should have the right to healthcare regardless of cost. Except maybe the worst of criminals.

We can't expect certain countries to pay the full price for the negligence and the shortcuts taken (or contributed to) by others.

A good example of the environment being a worldwide issue is skin cancer rate in Australia, especially in Tasmania, due to ozone depletion.

Someone will provide healthcare to the lower classes, demand creates supply. The quality will not be on the level of the upper class but that's be to expected.

The elderly should've saved for retirement and those unable to work should've considered life insurance.

Oh, I've seen firsthand what Canada's system can do to people who have serious health issues.

But on an individual basis, having an imperfect system of free coverage is better than no coverage at all.
