I used to work for them, they paid me almost nothing then they fired me. I'm a hard worker and I was getting paid more than anyone in Guatemala, but the cost of living is a lot higher here in Shakopee Minnesota. I was being paid $15,000 less than the cost of living working at two jobs. Everyday I was working in the morning at McDonald's and the afternoon and evening at Wal-Mart.

Pile of Misleading Vividness Fallacies

Keep your personal experience out of debate, another misleading vividness fallacy.

It is your fault if you were working at one of those jobs, not our job to bail you out because you failed and made enemies. The government is NOT your nanny.

The government does no better, Medicare is an overbloated, sick monster that needs to be put out of it's misery.

Perhaps if the government wasn't consuming half of your wage for taxes and have a sales tax you could've lived on what you were making.

It's wal-mart that is to blame for the low, low prices and low wages. Someone has to do that job at the end of the day.

As for 50% tax, that is stupid. There should be progressive taxes or sales taxes. I do agree with that.

What is this Medicare thing?

Medicare is the antiquated, failed system founded by the misguided but misinformed Franklin Delano Roosevelt to attempt to insure people who cannot work and who are elderly. It has failed and become a burden on American society.

I think that it's a good idea that the vulnerable, elderly, and disabled have their healthcare paid in a place where private healthcare is otherwise too expensive.

Socialised healthcare is a much fairer system than private healthcare. If you can't afford the bills, you suffer. That's not very nice, is it?

I will be going now. See y'all. Bye!

Someone will provide healthcare to the lower classes, demand creates supply. The quality will not be on the level of the upper class but that's be to expected.

The elderly should've saved for retirement and those unable to work should've considered life insurance.

Too bad that it's hard to save when you have low wages, and not much finanical skills.

People who have potentially fatal disabilities/illnesses, and can't work have to pay high premiums for insurance, and many insurers will not even insure them.

Is that fair?

If you want "better" care, go to a private hospital, which will be allowed and also used as a subcontractor to the state hospitals when neccessary.

Unemployed people might also be unemployed because their businesses collapsed due to no fault of their own.

You've changed, Flagg. You used to hate Capitalism.
