"I don't care where we're going, we're going somewhere!♪" Laura said happily.

Laura looked wide eyed at the long list. "Sure... I guess you can come too.."

Calem, meanwhile, seemed more intrested in what the two Mike's were doing.

~At the store~

About thirty minutes had passed since they reached the store.
"All right, so we need cheese, crackers...." Emma was checking items off of her list, when suddenly....

"CRACKEEEEEERS!" a voice screeched.

Suddenly there was the sound of someone crashing a cart into the wall, and what sounded like a million cans clattering to the floor.
"Uh, miss, please watch where you're going!" a male employee yelled.

Kiki looked up, disturbed. "What was that?"

"I don't know..." Emma said.

In the distance, the conversation between the customer and the employee was still continuing.
"Uhh, ma'am... sir? Will you be paying for all this?"

The voice who screeched "Crackers" answered him.
"'Course I will! I'll be buying ALL OF THEM!"

Laura smiled, pushing her ivory colored sunglasses up to make sure nobody saw her. "That acually sounds like something I would do!" She said whispering. "I wonder who it was..."

Emma chuckled to herself silently and they continued shopping for a while... before someone came up to them from the side and tapped Laura on the shoulder.

"Uh, hey! You look like vaguely Trainer-like people. Could I ask you a question?"

Oh no, here comes the media... Laura thought. She slowly turned around expecting to see a crowd of people, but no, it was just one person. She was relatively hard to recognize, since even though she was wearing the same dress, she was wearing a big and floppy pastel yellow hat, her hair was down, now falling past her waist, and she was wearing white sunglasses.

"Y-yeah? What is it?" She asked.

If Laura turned around, she would find herself face-to-face with a kid about a year older than her.

They were pale and freckle-faced, with messy black hair which was tucked under a beanie. They had rather thick, coke-bottle glasses which took up their entire face, and wore a blue Hawaiian shirt with flip-flops.

"Um, I was thinking of becoming a Trainer in a few months! Do you think it's worth it??" they asked Laura.

Kiki glanced down at the new kid's grocery basket, and their eyes bugged out when they realized it was FILLED ENTIRELY WITH BOXES OF CRACKERS.

"Huh?" Laura was taken aback by the question. "Well, yeah! It's tons of fun." She petted Anna, who was walking next to her. "And also, you didn't see anything, but I geuss I could show an aspiring trainer like you..." she made sure nobody was looking and took of her sunglasses. "Please don't tell anyone you saw me." She said with a sweet smile.

They blinked obviously. "Um... why not? Are you, like...."
Their voice became totally hushed. "Fleeing the country or something??"

Was she a local celebrity? If she was, they had never heard of her.

"I'm not from here, by the way," the black-haired kid added, "I'm from Lavender Town in Kanto." They reached out a hand to shake hands with Laura. "My name's Shannon, but I prefer to go by Lychee!"

"What? No I'm not." She sighed in a disapointed manner. "That totally didn't go down the way I thought it would, but anyway, I'm Laura from Vaniville Town. I'm the champion of this region." She put her sunglasses back on in case anybody else saw her.

She looked suprised when she heard Lavender Town. "As in the super scary place?" She looked quite frightened at the mention of it. "Oh! Were you the cracker girl?" She asked with a silly grin.

Lychee's eyes nearly bugged out.
"Wait, WHAT?!" They covered their mouth with their hand. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! What an honor it is to meet you, then!"

When Laura asked if it was scary, Lychee laughed. "Nah, it's not scary at all. They tore down that haunted tower, like, 10 years ago, so now all we have is a radio tower."

They grinned widely. "Though we still do have such adorable creatures as..." Lychee turned around behind them, put two fingers in their mouth, and whistled. Suddenly, a Gastly came rushing toward them, merrily plopped itself down on Laura's hat.

"Lavender!! Say hi!" Lychee cheered. The small Gastly giggled. "Gas gas!"

Lychee blinked when Laura called them the 'cracker girl.'
"Girl? ...Er, yeah, that may have been me... I just tend to get a bit excited around GREAT DEALS, y'know?" they beamed.

"G'morning," Guinan grunted at Laura's greeting and stopped to face her, leaning against a wall. She listened as Laura responded to her curses and also mentioned shopping. "What? Oh my outfit? I was just thinking about that. I'll meed some money somehow," she continued before heading into the bathroom.

(OOC: I'm so tempted to create a reporter character now. I like cracker girl though so I won't interrupt LOL.)

"If that pokemon is made out of gas then how is he/she sitting on my head? Laura asked, looking up at it.

Lychee raised a finger in the air matter-of-factly. "...Well, Gastly can solidify itself at will, so that's why it's solid enough to sit on your head."
They continued. "That's how it stays solid enough to eat things and digests them, 'cause otherwise it would die! Wait... can ghosts even die? Anyway, Lavender is a girl. You can tell because... actually, you can't tell, because she's a ball of gas with no apparent gender??" Lychee looked flabbergasted at their own realization.

(Is there an operable stove in the hideout?)

(I was going to have some characters be cooking, so yeah, let's assume so. )
