It’s forbidden to die in Longyearbyen, Norway. The town’s only cemetery closed over 70 years ago because it’s so cold that bodies previously buried there have never decomposed, and some still carry traces of an influenza virus that caused an epidemic in 1917.

Interesting.

If you do croak in Longyearbyen can you... plead insanity?

And if that doesn't work do they sentence you to life?

Sue and Trixie are the most complete t-rexes ever found, and the oldest.

Sue was around 28 years old when she died, and Trixie was about 30.

Trixie was named for Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, where Trixie resides.

Sue lives (?) in the Field Museum in Chicago.

And their teeth were really big. :(

Why are you sad about them having big teeth?

I am not SAD about the size of Sue’s teeth;

Sue was forty feet long.

Sue was thirteen feet tall.

She weighed up to fifteen point four tons.

Her skull was six feet long.

And she ran really, really fast.

So having rather enormous dagger-like (more like multiple swords) teeth makes for one horrifying image.

‘Thunder Lizard’, indeed! :skull:

Believe it or not, Miley Cyrus had a brief, uncredited cameo in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 during the mid-credits as the voice of Mainframe, a member of Stakar (played by Sylvester Stallone) and Yondu's old Ravagers crew.

elvis' first recordings for RCA were recorded on multitrack tape and were stereophonic, one of the earliest pop recording artists to be so treated.

The ‘Easter Island Heads’ aren’t just heads.

They are statues; they have arms and hands and torsos.

Some have what appear to be representations of tattoos .

Their proper name is ‘Mo’ai’.

Peregrine Falcons approach their prey along logarithmic spirals whose curvature is determined by their speed and the angle at which they have the best sight while keeping their head straight.

The Bab and Bah’a’ullah are two of the very few founders of religions who actually hand wrote their holy books.

The New Testament was written by Jesus‘ apostles, not him.

The Koran was written by Mohammed’s followers, not him.

The Sutras were written by Buddha’s followers, not him.

The Guru Granth Sahib was written by various of the 10 Gurus who followed Guru Nanak Dev, not him.

Diana Ross was not the original lead singer of the Supremes.

Florence Ballard was.

She was moved to back up singer and Diana given lead position during Diana’s affair with Barry Gordy.

Florence Ballard died at thirty-three.

barry gordy was cold-blooded moneybags, and diana ross is just awful. they both screwed over Florence, and at flo's funeral when diana had the sheer gall to show her conceited face, she was booed and hissed roundly.

Christina of Sweden was a 17th-century monarch who ruled as a king. Born covered in hair, she had a cry so deep that everyone thought she was a boy. Happy to learn she was a girl, her father decreed she would have the education of a prince and made her his heir. She inherited the throne at the age of 6 and ruled for years as a blunt, unmarried, lady king who often disguised herself as a man for political and safety reasons.
