Kiki was still staring at the counter, as if talking to themself. "My country... and my family, they..."

"No problem," Guinan said to Dan, adding a bit more water to the pot. She looked over at Kiki, asking, "Do you want to talk about your family?"

Kiki looked away quietly. "They..."
It seemed like they were struggling to say it. "They..."

"What is it?" Laura asked, looking concerned. A thought of what she was about to say popped up, but she pushed it out of her mind.

Kiki shook their head. "Well, it.. it doesn't matter now, they are gone now anyway. So is the place where I lived."

(Bump.)

"If it's not too much of a touchy subject, what happened?" Laura inquired shyly.

"I-I'm so sorry, Kiki. What happened?", asked Dan concernly, who just finished slicing the celery, and is about to slice the bell peppers.

(OOC: I'm not as happy about how things are going with the second Mike as I thought I would be, so I plan on getting rid of him somehow. I'm not sure how though, I might add a plot twist or something. I have a ton of potential ideas at this point, although the best ones in my opinion are kinda' dark.)

Mike 2 suddenly gets a message and upon reading it says "Oh no... There has been a Heiwa Federation fleet detected in orbit of Jupiter by the Jovian reconnaissance satellite network." Mike 1 responds "Oh yeah, that happened on my Nexus station too. I can give you the data from that if you want so you can predict what they will do and have an advantage, I can only say to a degree of certainly that they will do the same thing in your universe though."
Mike 2: "Yeah, I know how fundamental uncertainty works."
Mike 1: "And I only knew that you knew how it works to within a degree of probability."
Mike 2: "Touché. Anyway, that should still be very helpful especially if we got an AI to analyze the data."

Mike 1 takes the hard drive out of his robotic arm so that Mike 2 can transfer the data off of it. While Mike 2 is busy with that he comes over to the kitchen and asks "What's cooking? It smells good."

"I know how it feels to have it all gone, everything," Guinan said to Kiki.

To the two Mikes, Guinan said, "That sounds familiar, but the information about the Heiwa Federation fleet could be very different. If they've had different leaders, different weapon designs, things like that."

(OOC: Mike 2 won't be in danger of assassination in the AU probably, so he might choose to go back now. Also, what if his experiences led him to form different friendships and partnerships, or travel to different planets at different times? Or maybe Mike 2 might choose to take a pokemon back with him for study.

As for time traveling to save Lucy, I don't see how that would work if you have multiple universes. You'd have multiple versions of Kimmy that wouldn't merge as she goes to the correct place in time. I suppose she could go forward, find herself and Lucy, save Lucy, and then go forward again to when she started time traveling. But then, she'd find a version of herself that never needed to go back in time in the first place.)

(That's a rule I have when I'm writing about Kim Lizzie and Lucy. They can't go back to save Lucy or interfere with any other deaths, and they can't talk to the past or future versons of themselves. Also, Mike, if it's not too much to ask could you pretty please do another one of Mike's flashbacks of when he made Sam? I'm curious.)

Laura was perched on the counter with Kim, chitchatting about random things.

(OOC: Oh yeah, I totally forgot about the flashbacks. I'll do another one right now.)

-2031-

The year 2031 was one for the history books, MegaWatt quickly rose to the ranks of Google, Amazon, and Microsoft as one of the largest companies on Earth because of it's massive profits from supplying weapons for what was quickly escalating to the largest war in human history. It was the year when the first space tourists visited the Moon and the first human had set foot on Mars. Large government space agencies were quickly becoming obsolete as the private sector began dominating space.

Mason became the main representative for MegaWatt industries, but Mike mostly kept to himself. Many people suspected that Mike was responsible for the war and the fact that he was unavailable for comment most of the time made many people suspicious. He went through a bit of a depression at that time, and immersed himself in his work a lot. He had this one pet project that he had been working on for over a year, he would sometimes even commission the MegaWatt R&D team to help him out with some aspects of it. His goal was to make a computer program that had artificial intelligence and appeared to have a personality. He called it Sam, which was short for "social assistant machine".

It started out as just a command line where Mike would type in something and it would respond in text, he improved the program until eventually it's ability to pass as a human improved. It was given the ability to interact with everything on Mike's personal computer and after a few mishaps resulting in pretty serious computer problems it got to a point where Mike could ask it to copy files, launch programs, and search for information on the internet. He hooked it up to voice recognition software and a speech synthesizer so that he could speak to it and it could speak back, the voice he gave it sounded almost like that of a child because it still sometimes acted rather childish still and after so long that's how Mike began thinking of Sam. Eventually the program took enough processing power that he had to transfer it to a large mainframe computer, but with the rapid advancement of computer science he hoped that one day he could run it on a small portable bot.

(OOC: Sam is also the name of my best friend, which is another reason why I named that bot Sam of all things.)

"So, what other than Lucy has been going on with you?" Laura asked.
Kimmy sighed, downcasting her bright blue eyes. "About two weeks ago my dad told me that we would have you -I mean you as a 25 year old- comming to stay with us because my dad is the champion of another region and you needed to come up with a double battle strategy for World's, even though how much my dad said we could wing it. So, I was all exited, but then when I was comming home from trainers school to meet you I was kidnapped by this huge flying pokemon along with Lucy and Lizzie who tried her best to defend us. We eventually got home after about a week and three days, and my mom told me to go back a few years to be safe. So World's was set back for awhile until it was safe again." She explained, her face as red as a tomato.

(Wow Midnightstar, your two posts were 24 hours apart to the minute. Did you do that on purpose?)

"Your macaroni's done," Guinan told Dan. She listened to Kimmy's story. "I'm glad you got away," she said to the little girl. "Did your mom and dad want you to find Laura here?"

(No, no I didn't. )

"Nope! It's actually the craziest coincedence, they wanted me to find one of them but I ended up in Kalos for some reason. But I totally lucked out!" She grinned at Laura.
