"Alright, thank you," Dan responded, just finishing up slicing the bell peppers. Dan then finds a strainer and puts it in the sink, then walks over to the boiled macaroni, takes it, and dumps it into the strainer in the sink, filtering out all the boiling hot water into the drain.

Dan then checks on the medium pot of eggs boiling in hot water. Dan then turns it off, lets it cool off, and then finds some ice cubes from the freezer, and puts them in the pot of hard-boiled eggs. Dan then walked back to the cutting board, and then finds a carrot peeler from the drawer, and then starts peeling the carrots he also bought from the store.

Mike 2 looks at the data that Mike 1 sent about the invasion and says "Uhh... Slight problem, it says here that they invaded you with 4 carrier class capital ships, but in my universe the fleet we detected was a Leviathan class capital ship escorted by two small gunships."

Mike 1: "Wait, what's a Leviathan class capital ship? I've never heard of it."
Mike 2: "The most powerful Heiwa Federation ship, it has a giant beam weapon that can take down anything smaller then a carrier in one hit... Does that ring a bell?"
Mike 1: "Nope."
Mike 2: "Our universes might not be as similar as I thought... I think it would be best if I went back to help, it seems like you have things handled here. Could you look after my wormhole containment unit?"
Mike 1: "Sure. Won't they kill you if they win though?"
Mike 2: "Why would they do that?"
Mike 1: "'Cause they hate you for creating the-... Oh yeah."

Mike 2 messages the station telling them to open up the wormhole. He takes out his wormhole containment unit and releases the wormhole as it opens up, once it's fully open and stretched into a triangle shape by the spacial nodes he steps through. Before the wormhole closes he says "We should totally keep in contact." and Mike 1 replies "Agreed." The wormhole begins closing and the robotic systems on the station close the containment device around the wormhole before the wormhole collapses completely, leaving the small containment capsule on the ground. Mike picks it up and stows it in a pocket.

"B-But... If they weren't trying to invade you to kill you because they don't like you, why were they..." Mike 2 was already gone before Laura got to finish.

Kimmy was left blank white wide eyed in shock at the wormhole opening and closing, but sighed. "I guess if I can go through time, there must be people who can go to other dimensions..." she leaned against Laura, tremling in fear.

Lizzie curiously flittered about the spot where the portal had been, wondering where it went.

(Bump)

After Dan finished peeling the carrots, he returned the stove to check the hard-boiled eggs cooling off in the pot. After making sure they're ready, Dan then drained the water down the drain from the pot, then carried the pot full of hard-boiled eggs to the kitchen counter, next to the cutting board he was using. Dan then finds a bowl, and then starts peeling off the shells from the eggs, putting the eggshells in the bowl.

(OOC: Where are Kiki, Gristle, Oeuyia, Angewomon, and Karion? Not to mention Lilli, who's somewhere out there...)

"Good luck and safe travels," Guinan said to Mike 2. She stood there for a moment, watching the wormhole open and close. Then, she went back to the kitchen to start peeling shells off the eggs with Daniel and tossing all the shells in the trash.

"There was... a war." Kiki said. "Or, not really a war, but a revolution. ...That had been going on since I was very young." they mused as they chopped a potato into slices.

"I don't wanna explain the whole thing, but basically there were some... folks in my kingdom who didn't like the way my people were being treated. So they wanted to start a rebellion."

Kiki looked over to the side and stuck a cheese square onto the counter for Kimmy to try. "Here, have some cheese."

They continued. "I... knew some people who were part of a resistance group that was trying to take over the government by force. But on one of these occasions, there was an... accident, which led to the loss of many lives."

Kiki was looking increasingly uncomfortable as they said this.
They looked up at Laura. "Anyway, uh, does that satisfy you? There's some history behind it, but it's long and complicated and I don't know if you wanna sit through all that." they laughed.

"Ooh! Thank you!" Kimmy said before happily devouring it.

Laura frowned as Kiki told the story. "That... that sucks..." She mumbled, adverting her eyes as if she was embarrased she asked.

When Kiki asked if that was all she wanted to know, Laura nodded slightly, looking down.

--Before peeling the shells out of hard-boiled eggs--

"Oh, I...I'm very sorry to hear that", Dan said to Kiki, after hearing their story, "That must have been awful, making you go through the rest of your life experiencing it, and scarring you."

"Shed...", Dan's Shedinja said, also very sad after hearing Kiki's story.

"If you ever need help, or feel lonely, you can always talk to me, okay?", Dan asked Kiki, trying to make them feel better.

"Shedinja!", Shedinja exclaimed as if to say And me, too!

(I'm trying to imply something about Kiki here. Is it too subtle?)
Afterwards, Kiki looked uneasy. "Sorry, that was... uncalled for." They looked at Laura apologetically. "I apologize, sometimes I tend to speak too much."

When Daniel mentioned "for the rest of your life," Kiki's eyes squinched together, as if they wanted to say something. They looked at Shedinja briefly, their eyes transfixed on its hollow, soulless eyes. "Oh yeah..." Kiki said distractedly.

They snapped out of their thoughts, looking up at Daniel. "O-oh! Heh..."

At Daniel's offer to help, Kiki smiled. "Aww, that's really sweet." they said. They elbowed Daniel in the ribs, as if making a joke. "But I'm fine, man, trust me." they reassured.

Then immediately, as if nothing had just happened, they turned immediately back to cooking. They looked at Kimmy, who was looking somewhat down. "Hey, you wanna come assist me with this cheese?" they piped. "I've got a lot of stuff to chop."

Kimmy frantically nodded, poking the last bit of cheese in her mouth and shoving herself off the counter.

Laura laughed and smiled nervously. "I wanna help out, but I really can't make much else other than pokepuffs and arceus knows we already have enough of them."

"Well, chop is kind of an exaggeration." They picked up the container the cheese was in and squished it to show Laura the texture. "This is really soft cheese, so it's really just like slicing through butter." they explained.

They unwrapped the cheese from
the container and set it down on the cutting board. Then they sunk the knife in and started slicing down, cutting off little tiny pieces, as easily as they were slicing through butter.

They looked at Laura. "See? It doesn't even have to be even." Kiki said.

Seeing as Laura was still looking doubtful, Kiki gave her an encouraging smile. "Hey. The only thing preventing you from doing something is when you say can't do it."

(Boomp)

Laura gave a sigh and took the knife from Kiki, trying painstakingly to make it even, despite what Kiki said. She just barely missed her finger as she was cutting the last bit. She put the knife down and put her hands on her hips, apprasing her work.

At what Kiki said, Laura blushed. People were always saying that kind of thing to her, despite the fact that she was convinced she wasn't good for much else other than competitive Pokemon battling and baking pokepuffs. "Thank you..." she murmured.

Observing Laura's work as she sliced, Kiki nodded. "Yeah, that's exactly what you do."

As they noticed Laura had her hand where the butterknife was, they slid it out of the way at the last moment. "Though you wanna keep your... other hand!" Crisis averted. "Away from where you're cutting so you don't accidentally cut yourself."

They glanced at Laura. "And that goes for anything sharp." they warned, with a slight chuckle.

When Laura was done, they stepped back and admired Laura's handiwork. "That's pretty good." they nodded.
