Kiki snatched the pepper from
Guinan as she was in the middle of walking over to them. "Thank you~"

"Yaaaay, I have the pepper!" they cheered. Kiki did a helicopter spin over to where Laura was, and with their final flourish, their right arm struck Laura's elbow, suddenly-- but surprisingly accurately-- causing her to flip the tray over and dump all the potatoes into the pot.

Kiki turned around in surprise as all the potatoes were dumped into the pot. "Oh, the potatoes!"

They turned to Laura with a relieved smile. "But you managed to get them all into the pot! Good timing. Thank you."

"Oops! I'm so sorry, I just wanted to stand somewhere where I wouldn't cause any trouble..." She said, flustered.

She looked a Kiki with a hurt expression. "You did that on purpose, didn't you...?"

When Laura said, 'You did that on purpose, didn't you?', Kiki blinked. "I'm not sure what you're implying. Sure is smelling good!" they said.

Meanwhile, they pulled out the carton of eggs and began counting out the eggs they needed and laying them on the counter.

"Yeah but you could have told me 'Put the potatoes in the pot'." She shook her head and sighed. "Okay, whatever. I guess I am being a little bit too flimsy." She said, sighing. She was really tired of screwing up, which, in her mind, was exactly what she was doing.

At first, Guinan laughed. "Nice shot! You made it!" she remarked. She turmed away to find the olive oil. Holding it in her hand, she turmed back. "You didn't do anything," she said to Laura. "Kiki flipped the potatoes right out of your hand."

"Actually, you're doing really good." Kiki winked.

At Guinan's comment, they scratched the back of their head. "Sorry, that was my bad."

By now, the broth was starting to look slightly yellow and was bubbling. Little bits of cheese were floating about in tiny curds, and the chunks of potato at the top were bobbing around like cooked carrots. A pleasant smell of potatoes and goat cheese began to waft up and travel out of the kitchen.

Kiki inhaled. "Ooh, this is smellin' good." they grinned.

They cracked one of the eggs and emptied it into the bowl they had on the counter. Then they turned to Laura. "Care to help me crack some eggs, m'friend?"

They pushed the bowl toward her.
"There is six in total. Just empty 'em into here." they invited.

"Are you sure? Cause I'd probably get shells all in it..." Laura pointed out bashfully.

(What's with the eyeroll?)

(That was an accident. Sometimes I randomly hit emoticons when I'm submitting. )

Kiki shrugged. "If there's a shell in it you can always just fish it out. With a fork, of course."

Wait, why is she getting shells in it in the first place? Kiki thought.

They tilted their head. "Actually, do you know how to crack an egg?"

They didn't want to ask such an obvious question, but maybe she really didn't know how to crack an egg. "I mean, uh, not to be rude! But if you'd like, I could show you the way I do it," they offered.

"I know how to crack an egg, it's just that I always screw up and get it everywhere." Laura said shyly.

Kiki nodded, showing Laura an egg. "Well what I do is I don't hit it on the counter, I hit it on the inside of the bowl."

They tapped the egg lightly on the edge of the bowl. "See? What I try to do is make a crack around this middle area, 'cause that's where it's easiest to pull apart."

They shook their head, trying to give Laura a warning. "Now you don't wanna hit it super hard, 'cause that's when it gets all fractured and kind of eggshell-y. You just wanna hit it once, so it makes a little crack."

They tapped the side of their egg on the counter, causing a small crack to appear in the middle. "See? Now you try."

They handed Laura her own egg. "Just tap it once. Don't do anything else."

"Okay..." She took the egg from Kiki, lightly tapping the side oppisite to the crack, making another one. She then lightly pulled it apart, making the inside spill out. She looked at Kiki, wide eyed. "Oh. My. God. Did you just see that??" She cracked the other five, then put her hands on her hips with a proud grin. "All done!" She chirped.

"Don't forget to wash your hands after you do the eggs," Dan said to Laura.

When Laura asked if they saw what she did, they grinned proudly. "Yup! Now next step is to pour the eggs into the pot. Tilt that boy in there and dump those eggs in."

When Dan mentioned washing your hands, Kiki looked puzzled for a minute. Oh yeah. Human safety standards. they remembered.

"Oh, yeah, and then go wash your hands." they added.

They saw that the water in the pot was bubbling wildly and was about to boil over. "Oh, crap, I should probably turn the heat down." they muttered.

Laura poured the eggs in the pot, and went to wash her hands, careful not to mess her fancy painted nails up. She then marched towards the rest of the group, sitting down next to Calem and Anna crawling in her lap. Calem wondered how Laura would take it if he told her about what they had found earlier.

"Nice nails," Guinan remarked as she watched Laura with the eggs. Then, she went to sit down also. "Is Emma coming back for the meeting?" she asked.

After Guinan handed the olive oil to Dan, Dan finishes up mixing the olive oil with mixed egg yolks, mayonnaise, and honey mustard, and then mixes them with the macaroni and the cut-up vegetables. After mixing them up as thoroughly as possible, he finds a small bowl from the cabinet, and uses a scooper to scoop up a small amount of his macaroni salad, and eats it in order to make sure it's done right.

"Alright, perfect," Dan said as he finishes up his small bowl, and puts it in the sink. He then finds a large Tupperware container and lid, and dumps his macaroni salad into the container from the large pot he was cooking with. Finished, Dan then puts all the cooking tools he used into the sink, and washed his hands. Then Dan puts the container of his macaroni salad into the refrigerator so it stays fresh. After that, Dan and his Shedinja left the kitchen, and went into the meeting room where Laura, Calem, and the others are.
