well, it depends, not only for having a different belief but also for being different in other aspects, like belong to any minority group in which those people are condemned to hell because of it. Then I would be offended if I was one belonging to the minority group. I am not personal offended, but a little unhappy I suppose, not by people's beliefs, but by how they take it and how they approach it. Few people express their belief system in an arrogant way without considering other things.

Yes, it is good to fight for what is right. But it's more of a dance than a bludgeoning-fest when done effectively. We all stoop to arrogance at times... and when we notice it in others I do believe we'd do best to refrain from retorting with snippy one-liners, even if a terribly clever one springs to mind. No?
