They look like they have absolutely NO sense of humor.

Maybe we just don't understand their variety.

Those sullen pouts indicate a variety of humor?

Oh.

Even your avatar kitten is running away from them.

New word for today (actually I'm averaging 25-50 new words a day, but I like this one):

Örnöttää. 8)

Omg... it is a word. Untranslatable into English, but I guess you know the meaning since you just typed it. Excellent!

Funny, your current post count is 6060 and mine is 9696. Perfect symmetry.

Good job I posted elsewhere to ruin that, or I would have been admiring the symmetry for ages and not wanting to ruin it by posting.

I am learning the Memrise course '3000 Most Common Finnish Words'.

That is not one of them. I also read a couple of Finnish websites to get these more interesting words.

Tried to Google it.

Was referred to a decorative plant.

When you have nothing else to do, you may wish to memorize the following table. (The verb used as an example is kävellä, to walk.)

The English google probably cannot find it. -- And still, the second item in my English google says,

-Örnöttää = being alone in a very distant place such as a summer cottage, not wanting to anyone disturb and being really grumpy even thinking about the possibility of anyone to come visit you.

When I have nothing else to do? :lmao:

I'm learning Finnish. There is always something to do!

(Thanks though, that will go in the file).

I got it. If you spell it "ornottaa" without the dieresis, it finds decorative plants or the like.

Weird. I got redirected to Arnott's biscuits (a brand name here in Nz). When I manually forced it to 'ornottaa' I got some motorcycles in the mud.

Perhaps the 'Pinstripe Plant' does not grow in New Zealand.
