Snowdon: the highest mountain in Wales at 3560 ft, and located in the North-West of the country, in the Snowdonia National Park. You can get to the summit via a railway constructed in 1896.

Westmoreland: being part of the Lake District, contains some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK. Was merged with the adjoining county of Cumberland in 1974, to form part of Cumbria.

I've heard so much about England's Lake District that I have got to go visit it some time. It would be nice to spend an extra week or two on the canal system as well.
