I know, you have near expert knowledge on the subject, right?

What I have to do is plan an experiment to investigate limiting factors in photosynthesis.

History is fine, I have no problem recalling historical events and linking them to other events, and weighing up different arguments.

Offhand, without looking up anything, there are 3 major factors limiting photosynthesis: water, light and carbon dioxide levels. It also depends on the amount of chloroplasts the plant has, as well as the shape and size of the leaves.

Yes, yes. Also temperature. We're only doing the basic factors at the moment though. The chloroplasts and shape and size of the leaves aren't part of the course at this stage.

Well, chloroplasts are the plant equivalent of mitochondria. They are the organelles that provide photosynthesis. Basically, they use up water, carbon dioxide, and energy from light (and temperature) to create sugars. You may know this, but I was assuming you didn't. I can go back to my textbook from uni, if you want. Campbell's Biology. My high-school biology teacher had it, and I used it while at QUT.
