Wouldn't such a purpose be related to Pyrrhic victory?

I know what a Pyrrhic victory is, but I fail to see what that has to do with any kind of mealtime?

Breakfast --> Not fainting --> Lunch.

You get to have the status of unfaintedness by having your breakfast, which is thus subordinated to your having lunch. Maybe not precisely Pyrrhic, but complicated it is. In any case, you get something by paying a higher price than necessary.
