Errol Flynn's son Sean was a photojournalist in Vietnam during the war.

He and his companion were captured by Viet Cong and never seen again, nor their bodies ever found.

Some believe that they were held captive for many months, barely fed, abused, and finally died from ill-treatment.

His mother, a former actress named Lili Damita, spent a fortune paying for information and for searches, but died never knowing his fate.

Dennis Hopper's photojournalist character in Apocalypse Now was based on the Harlequin character in Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness, but was also intended to be Sean Flynn.

Wow, I did not know that....thank you.

Sean Flynn also had a short career as an actor, but wanted to do something more meaningful with his life.....so sad.

The original script for Alien (1979) was titled Star Beast. Screenwriter Dan O'Bannon drew heavy inspiration from earlier science fiction and horror films, namely It! The Terror from Beyond Space, Planet of the Vampires, The Thing from Another World, and Queen of Blood. O'Bannon admitted to taking ideas from these films, saying, "I didn't steal Alien from anybody. I stole it from everybody."

James Arness was the actor who portrayed 'The Thing From Another World".

That movie scared the daylights out of me!

In X-Men: Days of Future Past, the young and old versions of Professor X and Magneto are played by James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellen. All four actors have played Macbeth in screen productions of Shakespeare's play: McKellen in 1979, McAvoy in 2005, Stewart in 2010, and Fassbender in a film to be released in 2015. The gap between the performances from the two actors playing Professor X was only five years, but the gap between those of the actors playing Magneto is 36 years.

In Drive, when Ron Pearlman is getting beat up on the beach, he actually does shatter his kneecap, and his screams of pain are real.

B-b-b-but Ron Perlman is one of my very favorites!

I don't want him to have a broken knee!

Trivia: from the years he starred in 'Beauty and the Beast' on T.V., his character, Vincent, used to read poetry in that honey/velvet voice of his.

A CD was released of him reading poems.....someone I knew had it, and it was magical, just magical!

For an American actor, Ron Perlman is incredibly ugly. My late mother (let her rest in peace, I had to say it) would have agreed. She, like myself, loved those classical figures, say, John Wayne and Alan Ladd. And Audrey Hepburn.

The TV series 'Dallas' was originally written about Patrick Duffy's and Victoria Principal's characters.

By the end of the first year, Larry Hagman's character J.R was THE Star, and stayed THE Star for thirteen more years.

During its run, the 'Dallas' set was known as one big back-biting mess....everyone was feuding!

Bea Arthur was one year older than Estelle Getty, who played Arthur's mother on The Golden Girls.

Also, in the 1948 film version of Hamlet, Laurence Olivier was 11 years older than Eileen Herlie, who played his mother.

When she portrayed Ophelia in the 1948 version of 'Hamlet', Jean Simmons was only nineteen years old.

No one seems to know whether Lauren Bacall was buried or cremated, and where her burial site is.
