Considering there are some 100 towns (others are boroughs) and practically every town has their own... larger towns and cities have several... could it be close to 150?

There are 184 female players in NZ?
(I suppose that could make sense, half of them will be in the South Island. )

Wouldn't it appear from your previous link that a few Czech's also have this talent?

And why do I have an overwhelming urge to divide the 'numbers of players' column for each country into the population, so I can find the percentage of people who play in each place? 8)
